Since everyone seems to love the photo of the Angel Oak I posted here are some others.

The Angel Oak is believed to be in excess of 1500 years old, its massive, draping limbs and wide spreading canopy present the aura of an angel but the naming of this tree was acquired from the tree’s previous owners, Martha and Justin Angel.

this whole situation is actually sort of fucked up. these nuns sold the convent years ago to another person and then the archdiocese came in and was like “hey actually you guys aren’t allowed to sell the convent because it’s our property, and katy perry will pay us more for it”

so these nuns were basically begging katy perry to rescind her offer to buy so that they could ensure that their convent would go to the original buyer and I guess katy just really wants this property for whatever reason? the nuns do not like katy perry and don’t want her to own the property but the archdiocese basically could care less because they have the legal right to sell it and they’re standing to make millions from this
