“Our mothers stand still so that we can look back and see how far we’ve come.”

Absolutely lost my shit and started bawling at the end of Barbie.

What a wonderful, fun, inspiring film. I laughed (a lot). I cried (unexpectedly). Was it heavy-handed with the messaging regarding feminism and the patriarchy? Yes.

In the most necessary way.

We needed this.

Bravo.

the barbie movie was such a fucking experience yall going into the theater saying "hi barbie" to anyone wearing pink (everybody) and them all enthusiastically saying "hi barbie!" back the theater was packed everyone cheered at all the right moments the movie made me cry for real we all said "bye barbie!" to each other as we left everyone looked SO PRETTY it was so much fun
