• Their first baby is born during wintertime, so the tribe gave them many gifts like furs, waist beads made of bone and moonstone, and stone carvings of wolves (along with puppies).
• They’ve always presented themselves as masculine to the tribe for many years, so their first pregnancy with the whole tribe to witness was something they had to quickly adapt to. Luckily, the overwhelming love they received from their tribe (family) brought much ease.
• Koga is emotional, we know that. Everyone knows that. But they never cried during random situations, until they got pregnant. One of their scouts wasn’t able to find a certain kind of winterberry that grows near the borders and Koga had to excuse themselves to Sob Uncontrollably In Their Chambers.
• Kagome wished she had the chance to dote on Sango during her pregnancy, so she and Inuyasha visit the den every now and then to bring treats for them. Koga is thankful for the sweet and albeit, hilarious moments between them. They missed Inuyasha’s banter and Kagome’s calming, spiritual presence.
• Koga’s biggest craving was potato chips obviously. Thankfully kagome brought a bunch back to the feudal era in bulk.
• They put potato chips in everything. Everything.
•Koga gets a little depressed during the end of 2nd-3rd trimester because they can’t run as often, nor as fast as they want to. In reality they can, but they’d rather not put their pup at risk.
•That doesn’t mean they’re not active, the springs near the caves became their favorite spot.
•Wolf mamas and their babies often dream together towards the end of a pregnancy. This was when Koga was able to sleep the best.
• The children love coming up to their chief to pat their belly, and ask politely to listen to the growing pup’s heart beat.
• Koga was lucky to have their baby during a time of peace and prosperity within the tribe, so they didn’t wear amour often (at all, really) and opted for kimonos and robes of fur. One of the crafters of the tribe made them a crop breast plate (like ginta’s) and they loved it SO MUCH they exclusively wear it during celebrations with a longer skirt and the waist beads to show off the bump🤰🏻
• They also wore their hair down a lot. The more comfortable they became with their pregnancy, the more comfortable they became around the tribe.
• Koga is gentler with their wolves. And their tribesmen,,,occasionally.
• Wolf babies are named usually a week or two after their birth, depending on the parent. Koga named their baby the day they were born though, which sparked a change in tradition.
