im gonna be serious for a second misha has a history of making jokes where the punchline is basically “haha this implies i like men which is a funny thing to me” like just talking recently in 2021 at momento con he was talking about recording voice work in richard speights closet and he then made the comment of “and richards been trying to get me to come out of the closet for a long time” like the fact that hes a straight man doing jokes like this is shitty like what the hell is so funny about implying you like men

its homophobia plain and simple and everyone has gotta stop excusing this shit with “but we dont know hes straight” hes stated he is he literally came out as straight we need to acknowledge theres a pattern of this going on for years

I find it touching that when Zuko and Sokka first infiltrate the Boiling Rock and see that a guard is taunting Chit Sang with a fire whip, Zuko gets angry and steps in about to defend him (until Sokka pulls him back of course). Like Chit Sang could’ve been in prison for being a serial killer or a cannibal or some shit but ya boi Zuko was ready to throw hands and ruin his cover 5 minutes into their mission just to defend this stranger being abused by someone in power. Just like he was ready to defend those soldiers in the war room. What a sweet boy.

Hey there, Lauren! I love your blog and metas! I have a question for you, in terms of the book, could you tell me when and where Daenerys shows signs of being a tyrant or a fascist? I see lots of metas say that she is, but from what I’ve read, I don’t see any signs of that? Sure, she kills her enemies, but what powerful monarch doesn’t? I just feel like the fandom has a very biased and double standard hatred when it comes to her, and I would like your opinion! Thank you!

Before I answer your question, we need some sort of working definition of fascism. To achieve this, I would like to quote a disabled person who helped lead the fight against fascism for years, and who died in the line of duty:

Over a year and a half ago I said this […]: “The militarists in Berlin, and Rome and Tokyo started this war, but the massed angered forces of common humanity will finish it.”
Today that prophecy is in the process of being fulfilled. The massed, angered forces of common humanity are on the march. They are going forward […]
We will have no truck with Fascism in any way, in any shape or manner. We will permit no vestige of Fascism to remain. […]
In every country conquered by the Nazis and the Fascists, or the Japanese militarists, the people have been reduced to the status of slaves or chattels.
It is our determination to restore these conquered peoples to the dignity of human beings, masters of their own fate, entitled to freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom from want, and freedom from fear.

Daenerys being framed as if she is starting to go mad of envy for feeling hurt when a man is getting all the credit for her work, was one of the grossest things I have seen on the field of ‘creative writing’. The second grossest thing was Jon Snow just taking all the undeserved praise without saying anything and still somehow staying a heroic likable character in the eyes of audience and the writers.
