Ask and ye shall receive!
(All under the cut because I gush a lot about this series because I’ve been a fan of it since I was 13, lmao)
obsessed with characters being saved against their will. being knocked unconscious and carried away from a danger they won't stop trying to fight. being shoved through a portal somewhere far away and safe right before it closes. trying to self-sacrifice only to have the exact person they're trying to save swap their places at the last second. getting the only cure to the disease or curse bc the person administering it loves them too much to give it to anyone else, including themselves. being thrown to safety right as they had accepted dying. someone else they thought had gotten to safety running back to drag them out of danger. it's so fucking tasty
jimmy mcgill stupid lil curled bangs you will always be famous

Oh, I really managed this for so many weeks! But I think it's time for a break. Tell me what you want to know more about when I go back to doing these :)
Mike and Jesse’s relationship makes me insane bc it’s the perfect encapsulation of the tragicomic elements that make Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul so absurdly ingenious. Like this deadly dead-eyed professional hitman only becomes a father figure to this grown adult meth cook because his boss strong-arms him into the Very Serious Drug-Related Business of babysitting said meth cook and building his sense of self-esteem through the power of gold star stickers. And Mike is such a quintessential professional that he gets stuck in character and genuinely comes to love Jesse as his own becoming his least problematic and most influential father figure in the series. But also. Mike is doomed to watch young men reminiscent of his murdered child get chewed up and spit out by a world that holds their innocence in contempt, is killed in an attempt to save Jesse from this fate, and dies believing he failed to do so
So in the end, Breaking Bad was about loving life at the expense of the people around you, and Better Call Saul is about loving the people around you at the expense of your life.
god.
one thing i can’t get over in breaking bad is that so much of the cast hate jesse for just existing it is so funny. jesse will be like yo what’s up and before he can even finish someone will beat the fuck out of him within an inch of his life and jesse just sighs and goes on with this life like it’s another tuesday
Honestly that one scene in Marble Hornets where Alex has his first blow up at the cast has told me everything I need to know about Tim's personality.
First of all, he's ultra sassy. He's the one that starts mumbling about how annoying the shoot is, and he validates Sara when she starts complaining. Second, when Alex seems to be directing a lot of his anger at Sarah specifically, Tim becomes more aggressive, literally arguing with him on Sarah's behalf. Third, the moment that Sarah (not Alex) says "Let's just do it again", Tim immediately says "alright" and calms down. Fourth, once Sarah starts yelling back at Alex, Tim is steady throwing his own two cents in, reminding Alex that he's yelling at both of them and not just her.
What that says about Tim is that he's protective. It's his default. It doesn't matter how he little he knows or feels about that person- as long as he doesn't hate your guts more than the guy yelling at you, he's on your side. At the same time, though, he's not a dominating person. If someone is standing up for themselves, he doesn't stand in their way. It reads more like a heightened sense of justice, which would make sense given his past trauma.
