Also, props to Allan???

He's a doll most people have never heard of. He got discontinued forever ago cause he was perceived as gay by consumers and they didn't like that.

But I love that he had an actual role in Barbie. He was very queer coded, yeah, but he didn't like when all the Kens turned to Patriarchy. He was so uncomfortable that he wanted to abandon Barbieland all together. He knew it was wrong.

And then he helped the Barbies get themselves back. He had a pink jumpsuit and sunglasses and went out all stealthy to get the Barbies in the van. He even voted at the end to keep the constitution the way it was.

Big Allan fan over here.

what was i made for?

“ophelia” by john everett millais but it’s barbie and for the sake of this concept let’s pretend that there is in fact water in barbieland

My partner and I challenged ourselves to redesigning the My Little Ponies as realistic humans from the early 1900s Americana (no dyed hair or neon skin, era-approp. clothes).

So here's Rainbow Dash.

We took out student loans because we, as teenagers, literal children, were told that it was our only road toward a better life, and one that would more than pay itself off.

We were told that all we had to do was go to college and we would be guaranteed a high-paying job that would compensate for any loans, because in our parents' generation that was the case.

We were told that if we didn't do this, and chose to take any other job, that we were lazy and worthless and deserved whatever minimum wage was thrown our way.

And when it didn't work out we were told that we should have known better when we were 16.

Added Fluttershy, a self-proclaimed recluse living alone in the outskirts of Ponyville, though she's by no means unfriendly by any stretch of the definition. A lover of animals, a hater of complex social situations.

"Rarity" and AJ!

Ponyville's most premier fashion designer, "Rarity." After traveling Europe and apprenticing with the haute couture visionaries of France and England––under the persona of a Shanghai socialite––she returned to the states a reinvented woman, leaving behind her past.

April-Jacqueline, the proud proprietor of the Apple Family Farm––a communal touchstone of Ponyville's hootenannies and barn-burners, as well as the town's largest orchard. A believer in Southern hospitality and an appreciator of applejack liquor, rodeos, and her Winchester rifle.

CGI animators should unionize next. normally, their jobs would be too precarious to strike, since studios would replace them without a second thought, but if it's part of this larger general film strike, they might finally have meaningful power to better their working conditions

if CGI animators unionized, it would kill the MCU. straight up. the the entire business model is built on exploiting CGI animators
