Monopoly

Imagine playing Monopoly but you don't start at the beginning of the game, no you start when all the properties are gone, you have 1500 quid and you get paid 200 quid when you pass go, if you are lucky. What chance have you got to maintain more than 5 or 6 rounds before those who have the control of the game bankrupt you. You are now only allowed to go round by the good will of those who have control. I know this is a bit simplistic but it is in fact exactly what is happening to our young people right now. They have pretty much zero chances to get ahead; they pay their own tuition fees, or are forced to get loans and big debt . Those who choose to work straight from school are not a lot better off, working long hours for little more than the average parking machine makes; they are screwed from birth unless they are born into real money. Then they are told they are worth less, well screw them, JC is the only one who is going to level it out a little bit and give our youngsters a chance, I just hope I see it in my life time...... The moral is those who have control have to have integrity and can be trusted to do the right thing, or have to be controlled by other means...Otherwise you get what you have now.... The board is being controlled by a bunch who have zero integrity or empathy for anyone but themselves. If we do nothing else, we must put a stop to this Governments twisted vile ideology.

I wonder how the Cons would fare if they were to suddenly wake up tomorrow with zero money, zero assets, just the clothes they had on. I wonder how long they would last trying to get a stake to go round the board of life, job center first, zero hour contracts, food banks, forced to work for free on job fair etc. I wonder how long it would be before they stole to eat. I bet their life expectancy would come down 30 years or more, not to mention the misery they would suffer and the degrading effects they would also feel. That is exactly what they are forcing on all but the very rich right now . No one can possibly join a game like this unless they have a real chance to get a stake which is why we need JC to level things up so at least our young have a chance...

In short this government is creating a future for the rich, property owning, elderly, that enslave the young in debt. Then they have the cheek to call them worthless, lazy or worse. Low wages, student debt, massive rent, despair, huge utility bills, zero savings, zero hope. Our young today are paying the price for this governments failures and our "poor" old and disabled are being murdered on a massive scale while they hide behind fixed figures dodgy deals with their rich mates aided and abetted by a scummy Tory media..

I know a man who gets up 2 in the morning, walks to work to start at 3 in the morning, cleans our streets and walks home at 3 in the afternoon. He does this for little more than min wage and has never had as much as a thank you from the council bosses, (RECENTLY PRIVATISED) ...The only thanks he gets is from us who see him (others like him) working in all weathers. Now how is that for something for nothing....What chance has this guy and many like him got of joining a monopoly board when just about everything there is to buy has gone.

Furthermore he does this when his boss , who probably gets an obscene wage , goes round in a car and does nothing more than check to see if he (they) are as much as having a coffee. Then proceeds to dish out warnings if something is not correct. I remember some 6 or 7 years ago , one morning I was walking to work and it was a cold windy morning about 7 ish and there was this poor guy sweeping leaves and as fast as he was sweeping the wind would blow half of them away, I remember it and recall it and I felt for this guy so I said to him joking why the hell don't you just go have a coffee mate the conditions are against you. I remember his reply as well , "ahh' he said, 'I will get the buggers" since that day I have seen this guy and observed him and this guy really does work , in fact in my area they all do.

I took the trouble to write to my council and told them what a wonderful job this guy is doing and said how hard I had observed this guy working etc etc. Well some time after I had written the letter I mentioned it to the man (I am not mentioning the guys name for I would not embarrass the guy and I would never do that without getting his permission first but this is a true story). The letter I wrote was never mentioned to him or to any of the other guys he works with. He did add however that had I made a complaint he would have known about it.

In an unrelated incident I did some work for his boss, at the time I did not realise who he was, but we were chatting away and we got to talking about the state of the area around McDonalds and I just happened to mention how hard this guy worked. His wife then chirped up and said how many others had said the same thing and explained that this man I was doing the job for was in fact his boss .

In short if anyone should get an honour it's this guy and he is not alone. Not that May would even give this guy a second glance let alone thank the guy with a thoroughly earned honour.

Tory expenses fraud : we haven't forgotten !

Priti Patel Tory MP QUOTE...."Sanctions play an important role in getting people and supporting people back to work." UNQUOTE One of the most expensive MPs in Britain, When asked by Andrew Neil on the Daily Politic show, what austerity sacrifices our MP Priti Patel had made over the past three years, she could not answer the question. Well maybe I can help...

On top of her £126,220 (2011/12), £132,868 (2012/13), £152,470 (2013/14) in expenses accordingly Ms Patel has given herself an inflation busting increase of 14.3 %. Oh on top of these expenses is the enormous cost of her written questions to Parliament-very few of them related to any way to witham constituency-but cost thousands of ££££ to answer. She also employs her husband as her office manager at the House of Commons(£50,000) plus a year. He also gets almost 15k a year as a london borough of Bexley councillor. He claims to live in Welling in Kent. She claims to live in Witham. One of them is right.... The next time your local MP tells you about prudent Financial responsibility, and austerity cuts are fair , try not to choke on your cut price tesco special cornflakes...

Heather Wheeler: Tory MP for South Derbyshire, voted to cut £30 a week ESA from her sick and disabled constiuents. While she claimed £160,527 in expenses during 2015,2016 on top of her over paid salary she is not alone.

These slime could not do more damage to us all if they were lice ridden rats spreading the great plague... VOTE THEM OUT OUT OUT....

George Freeman Tory MP for Mid Norfolk, Millionaire George once claimed taxpayer cash to put him up in a hotel despite owning a £600 000 property one mile from his commons office Mr Freeman's office also pointed out to a constituent he was 'Too busy' to reply, although he has a nice £750 IPAD that you paid for that he could have replied on. Costs & claims for 2014/2015 £176,387.08 George also voted to cut ESA for his sick & Disabled constituents.

IDS said Labour spending was up 58% but it was only 8%, IDS said vast amounts of public money was lost to fraud but is only 0.75%, IDS said tax credits rose by 20% but it was only 8.8%. Now listen to me when I am telling you welfare cuts are "FAIR"...

IDS, Forget about the fact I scammed the taxpayer for expenses .

Forget that I lived rent free in my father in law's mansion . Forget I married a millionaire and still claimed the dole . Forget that I lied about my education and army rank .

Forget that I am right now fiddling the Tax payer out of Money I claim for mileage to travel.

Forget I claimed 39 pound of Tax payers money to buy my breakfast . Forget I claimed 100 pound for a packet of wet wipes

Forget I live rent free in a 2 million pound country home with at least FOUR bedrooms which has swimming pool, tennis courts and set in acres of countryside,

Forget I don't pay a penny bedroom tax either. I have so far overseen 605,000 sanctions and its growing on a daily basis, which means sanctioned benefit claimants will not receive any money whatsoever for three years.

IDS I am the real disability hero of the week. I haven't even had medical training, but you don’t see that stopping me. If the DWP decides someone with Parkinsons will get better in order to find a job, why would medical science disagree? And if they say they are in pain or their limbs are trembling, cutting their benefits should incentivise them to deal with it.

12/08/16 the Duke of Westminster Hugh Grosvenor has inherited a £9.9 billion fortune , got away with not paying 2.4 billion inheritence tax, and even if he paid it, his net worth would still have been over 6 billion plus his own personal fortune of course.

Please tell me what part of everything is not enough. Think about it . That is enough money to wipe out the whole NHS deficit, but no ! The HARD right would rather fine a homeless person for sleeping rough , install anti homeless spikes or steal their stuff so they can't sleep ! It is bloody obcene.

NOTES ON BLINDNESS on the 24th September 2016 in Nottingham

The Nottingham Alternative Film Network is proud to present an unforgettable piece of storytelling about one man’s experience of going blind. On the 24th of September 2016, the Nottingham Alternative Film Network will show NOTES ON BLINDNESS at the White Lion in Beeston as part of the Scalarama Film Festival. The directors will be in attendance for a Q&A.

The movie is a remarkable documentary about the academic John Hull and his experiences with blindness. The Guardian called NOTES ON BLINDNESS “miraculous... a beautiful, accessible and thoughtful work of art,” and it offers audiences an intensely moving glimpse into what life without sight would be like.

The documentary was selected by the London Film Festival, and it won the Storytelling and Innovation Award at the Sheffield International Documentary Festival. After a successful UK distribution campaign, the Nottingham Alternative Film Network is now working to connect NOTES ON BLINDNESS with a local, visually-impaired community in conjunction with the excellent charity My Sight Nottinghamshire.

Also working alongside the Beestonian Film Club and Scalarama to attract a passionate, counter-mainstream audience, this movie will be introduced on the 24th of September at 4pm at the White Lion (24 Middle St, Beeston, Nottingham NG9 1FX).

After the film, the directors Peter Middleton and James Spinney will be talking to viewers to find out more about their experiences, and we’ll be presenting their companion virtual reality project INTO DARKNESS.

This experience, the Q&A and a vegan, lovingly made meal will all be included in the price of their £10 tickets! The meal will also be presented in an exciting, optional blind-tasting format, where our punters will be able to eat a delicious selection of hand-made finger foods blindfolded, continuing the event’s theme of giving people a chance to experience the world from a different perspective.

What’s more, all profits will go to My Sight Nottinghamshire to help the vital, community-building work they do right across Nottinghamshire. On the night, an audio-description app and hard-of-hearing will also be available to ensure our event remains as accessible as possible.

Synopsis of NOTES ON BLINDNESS: In 1983, after decades of steady deterioration, writer and academic John Hull became totally blind. To help him make sense of the upheaval in his life, he began keeping a diary on audiocassette. Over three years he recorded over sixteen hours of material, a unique testimony of loss, rebirth and renewal, excavating the interior world of blindness. Published in 1990 under the title ‘Touching the Rock’, the diaries were described by author and neurologist Oliver Sacks as, ‘A masterpiece... The most precise, deep and beautiful account of blindness I have ever read.’

Arrest and Charge.

Eric "Ricky" Tomlinson, perhaps better known as Jim "My Arse" Royle, was, before acting and fame came a-calling, a builder and trade union activist.

During, although it is more accurate to say after, an industrial dispute, Tomlinson and several fellow activists including Des Warren, were arrested, charged and convicted of 'conspiracy to intimidate', an offence not used for 98 years. Not actual intimidation, you note. Still over 40 years later campaigning to clear their names including Des Warren who died in 2004, it can be seen that this case was a precursor to Orgreave, with a police force and the courts being used by a Conservative Government, as a proxy to fight their Class Warfare and industrial policy.
