We continue our Women’s History Month celebration with the inimitable artist who celebrates a birthday today - Yayoi Kusama! In 2004, we presented her Narcissus Garden in collaboration with the @whitneymuseum Biennial. An installation of floating mirrored balls in the Conservatory Water in Central Park, in connected back to Kusama’s notorious “Narcissus Garden” for the 1966 Venice Biennale when the artist was censured for selling 1,500 mirrored globes under a sign that read “Your Narcissism for Sale.” http://bit.ly/PAFkusama
