burn out
Internet hugs for anyone else out there dealing with burn out or other mental and/or physical issues that make it hard to interact right now
People feel like they have to... Justify their ships now? When the hell did that start? Ask me why I ship something and it's like, the characters were in a room together one time. The fuck more do you expect from me?
sometimes they werent even in the same room but like what if they were
I put them in a room together in my mind and they were quite cute
just outta curiosity…
wise words from a crazed balloon animal
Is this anything
anyone wanna have a toxic homoerotic psychosexual rivalry with me? it does have to be weird
Fanfic writers are like crows. If you give them treats (comments) they will bring you shiny things (fanfic)
You can't leave that in the tags!!
Progress Report
I guess yesterday was Wednesday lol. Progress has not been great...my laptop is having some uh, issues with it's hinges and the screen may be scary popping from it's backpiece. Haha so it's currently at the laptop hospital getting fixed up. Waiting on a part to ship in so hopefully I get it back sooner than later. It's a weird feeling not having it
good news is it doesn't look like the screen itself has taken much damage which would have been the more expensive part to fix so...silver lining there
2024 is the year we stop “consuming” and go back to “reading/watching/listening to/playing” things
[ID: tag that reads, "#enjoying even" End ID]
if anything, at least this hyperfixation has helped me improve in drawing wings
i cannot emphasise enough how much you need to create something. anything. it doesn't matter if you suck. you don't need to monetise it, or make it your career. you can restart an old hobby; you can start from scratch. it doesn't matter. you just need to hold something and be able to say "i did that". baking, drawing, painting, writing, coding, crafts, whatever. make something ! you cannot have all your hobbies be a form of consumption. it's fun, it's great in its own right. but the single best action to make yourself feel better, to calm your mind, to gain self esteem, is to Create
I think one of my favorite things about writing fanfic is that you can just... keep going. Write as many different endings to the story as you want. As many different AUs. You can write the same scene a hundred times and change what happens every time.
It's the most freeing feeling, that I don't have to choose.
I love baseball

You're missing the best part

May Writing Challenge
This May I want to get back into writing. I’m not at all consistent. I’m at a point where I don’t feel like I can work on bigger things, because I can’t guarantee myself to keep working on it in a week from now. So I will take this month as a training month to get back into the habit of writing. I will do this by writing (or trying to write) 200 words every day. Topic is irrelevant. How great my writing is that day is irrelevant. Just 200 words written down. A habit taking 21 days to form was debunked, it does take a lot longer, but 31 days are a start I would say. These are already 140 words, so 200 words every day are hopefully manageable. You're more than welcome to join me if you like 😊
Let's see how it works out this time! 🖊
