Xireth’s Costume entry for Fallen London’s Hallowmas Competition: “I seek your petty Confessions of Curiosity. How interesting – you WHAT?!”
Handcrafted affectionately, these feathery garments characterize a fellow Londoner who has traversed the ashen streets to glean your darkest secrets from you. Oh, no, my Delicious Friend. You will not be spared.
• Trench Coat (3 hrs): A coat black as midnight, with buttons that shine like the false-stars. • Feathered Cape (2.5 hrs): Nothing but a heavily mutilated plastic tablecloth. Feels light as a feather. Or seven hundred feathers. • Blood Vial (1 hr): My personal blood recipe, complete with an aged and burnt label. • Owl Mask (1 hr): Curse these d__ned feathers floating around my room! I’ll be sneezing ‘til the Sixth City falls. • Belts (1 hr): Synthetic leather, measured and fastened in a manner that should never be re-enacted, if one wants to live. • Hat (30 min): A paper-cloth cone forced into becoming a hat. It did not want to be one, I assure you.
