This is a picture I took last night on the bus. In it we see the last run of the night and two bus drivers (late for their routes), bitching #loudly about how much they hate their jobs, customers and routes. They’re also talking about striking. Now, if these drivers actually did their jobs; pleasantly and with respect to the community they serve, I could understand their complaints. However, this is just one of many instances of the #Poughkeepsie #Loop #Bus and their shitty service and level of entitlement. What got them moving was when I went to look at the schedule to see what time they were supposed to leave the Hub. The bus didn’t have accurate schedules for that route available, but they got the point. Ten minutes late, but I got home eventually. Spent the day and night #bakingbread and making #cinnamonrolls as a means of both #stress #relief and and because I can’t afford a loaf at the store and we still like to eat. I shouldn’t have to free associate and wax poetic about my childhood memories of my mother making us fresh bread when SHE couldn’t afford a loaf to feed her children because she and my father had payed all the bills and didn’t have enough for ready made but if we asked her for it and she could teach herself to make it (or grew up poor in one of those countries the president called shit holes not that long ago)she would did and it was the best thing you ever had.
