FanFiction Opinions!

@ultrafanfictionreader

I have way too many opinions and no one to share them with, so I made this blog! I plan to post star rankings and reviews on all the fanfics I read. Be warned! Not everything I say will be rainbows and unicorns!

Fanart & Fanfic

For the record?

Shakespeare wrote fanfic. Tolkien wrote RPF AUs. Every Disney or Marvel movie you’ve ever seen is fanart, and so is Sherlock, and so is nearly every religious work from the European Renaissance.

Don’t pretend your fanfic or fanart isn’t a real contribution. Unless you don’t think West Side Story and Wicked and Hamilton are works of art. And if so, you’re just wrong.

That’s just my opinion.

This! This right here!

ASL Tip #6: When signing ASL you have to remember the most important rule. ASL is NOT English! You don't just translate an English sentence into sign. You change the order of the words as well. For example when signing the English question "How many hours do you sleep?", you sign in the order of "Sleep you hours how many?". The action or main subject of the sentence goes first, then who your talking about, then the unit in question (hours, minutes, inches), then finally the wh-question that would go in the beginning of an English sentence.

ASL Tip #3: The signs for the Space Needle in Seattle and the Eiffel Tower in Paris are the same. If you are near one of these land marks then you need to use a clarification sign with it. (I.e. When in Washington state you can simply sign the Space Needle no problem, but if you want to sign the Eiffel Tower you need to add the sign for French as well to clarify which landmark you mean.)

Hey people I have never met before! I just finished my first college bound American Sign Language class. I thought you Tumblr stalkers would enjoy seeing the things I wrote on my board during class. Just a few tips on ASL grammar. Your welcome. Tip # 1:
When signing a gender term (Such as boyfriend/girlfriend or mother/father) always use the top half of your face for male terms and the bottom half of your face for female terms.

It’s the Blueprint of Your Life

Author: Queenklu

Fandom: Supernatural

Pairing: Dean Winchester/Sam Winchester

Rating: Explicit

Summary: Sam jerks awake in the middle of the night and everything goes to hell. Well, not literally, though Dean is staring down the barrel of less than a year before his deal comes due. In the midst of dealing (or not dealing) with his impending death, a killer ghost ship, and Bela showing up out of the blue, Dean also has to figure out what’s going on in Sam’s head to make him so twitchy, why he’s suddenly breezing through this case while writing endless notes in a notebook he won’t let Dean see. Damn it, Dean thinks, This is gonna take a lot of chick flick moments.

Word Count: 38,400

A riveting reboot of Sam and Dean’s greatest hits from season three with a nice side of time travel thrown in. I give it 3.9 out of 5 stars!

Underground Wires

Author: Eggnogged

Fandom: Supernatural

Pairing: Dean Winchester/Sam Winchester

Rating: Explicit

Summary: It’s hard enough being a teenage girl even without all the extra crap: they move around all the time, her family is as far removed from normal as it’s possible to get, and she’s in love with her older brother. Sam has no control on any of it, she’s just trying to stay afloat.

Word Count: 15,759

An alternate universe where being a girl doesn’t make Sam turn into something he’s not. I give it 3.8 out of 5 stars!

My Heart Don’t Beat The Way It Used To

Author: Raina

Fandom: RPF Supernatural

Pairing: Jensen Ackles/Jared Padalecki

Rating: NC-17

Summary: Jared and Jensen have been best friends forever, and nothing’s going to ever change that, not even senior slump, or college anxieties, or even Jared getting an annoying cheerleader girlfriend. Or so Jensen thought.

Word Count: ~27.000

A pure friendship going through real struggles and only getting stronger in the end. I give it 4.9 out of 5 stars!
