Last month I caught Covid, and right at the start of my symptoms I saw this post. For the next 8ish days, I was HAUNTED by this song. It played on a loop in my head for hours. I would wake up in the middle of the night covered in sweat singing “…mixed with Zach Galifianakis” as it bounced around in my virus-addled brain. It was literally inescapable.

Anyway as soon as that ended, the Morbin Time memes started so you can imagine how that went for me, who would be deliriously sick for another 5 days.

So she is being investigated for the (as admitted to by the complainer) extremely slight chance that she could "financially benefit" from medicaid that is literally impossible to obtain.

This is just clear retaliation against a mother trying to advocate for her child.

It's infuriating, conservative politicians push laws that financially benefit them and their donors daily, but a mom tries to protect her child against powerful bigots and she is the one that gets investigated for conflict of interest. Absurd.

gym leaders’ whole job is to provide a specific challenge, a battle of a certain type and difficulty level. if you’ve brought the tools and skills to complete that challenge, you’re going to win by design. the pokémon in that battle are probably not actually the strongest pokemon they have.

when gym leaders go “argh, how could i lose??” they’re acting to give your victory legitimacy because you’re 10. they’re like a villain cosplayer letting a baby knock them over. they’re being nice!!

one of the millions of things i liked about spider-verse was that not only did all the female characters look different from each other, they gave mary jane her classic dimples and square chin, which might not seem like a big deal but you’d be surprised how much tiny details like those can make women in comic books look distinct

also seriously it feels like some animated films are pushing it to have two female characters who look even slightly different so i appreciate that spider-verse made sure every woman in it looked distinct from each other
