absolutely sweet marie

star wars headcanon time:

- so mon mothma (based on the ep3 deleted scenes) knew Padme pretty well. and consequently TOTALLY clocked that she was pregnant. she knew. a bunch of senators knew. they never said anything because they respected her privacy.

- however padme was good at keeping her Secret Affairs under wraps so mon mothma had no idea who the father was. she never guessed it might be anakin bcos everyone knows Jedi don’t do stuff like that.

- padme dies suddenly & mysteriously. shortly thereafter bail organa and his wife announce that they’ve adopted a baby girl.

- at the time mon mothma does not think much of this BUT later as leia gets older she begins to resemble padme more and more in both looks & personality and mon mothma is like. hmmm.

- so she draws the natural conclusion.

- padme was having an affair with bail organa! and when she died in childbirth bail quietly ‘adopted’ the baby to avoid the scandal.

- mon mothma elects not to say anything about this because it’s not really her business and also the past is the past and padme has been. dead for several years at this point and she doesn’t feel like opening that wound back up.

- instead she just, takes leia under her wing.

- anyway! later when a kid w the last name Skywalker who says his dad was a jedi shows up to join the rebellion she’s like. hm.

- she didn’t know anakin well but at the very least she knew OF him and they like, probably met

- so she figures anakin must have fathered a child while he was travelling the galaxy during the clone wars. she never really liked anakin so she’s just like ‘hm guess he was a deadbeat dad. can’t say I’m surprised.’

- she is not aware however that Anakin became Darth Vader so she doesn’t really feel the need to say anything to luke about this. as far as she’s aware luke already knows the truth about his parentage. at most she might be like ‘hey I knew your dad a bit, he was a good jedi & a war hero’.

- so as far as mon mothma is concerned, anakin skywalker’s son and padme amidala’s daughter are both fighting for the rebellion. the fact that they’re the same age is just kind of a coincidence. tatooine uses a different calendar from most planets so she never notices that they literally have the same birthday.

- anyway later Leia is like ‘so guess what! luke is my long-lost brother. isn’t that wild?’

- and mon mothma is like

………………….’PADME WAS BANGING ANAKIN SKYWALKER????’

(leia: not what I expected you to take from that but. yeah I guess she was.)

Mon Mothma: Leia I’m so sorry for that outburst, it was completely inappropriate. Anakin Skywalker was a good jedi and my personal dislike for him doesn’t make him any less of a hero-

Leia: he was Darth Vader.

Mon Mothma: ……….

Mon Mothma: MOTHERFUCKER-

Leia: yeah I’m not too happy about it either

Bruce forwarding Wayne Enterprises advertisement emails to Tim for him to deal with only to realise too late he's actually been sending them to Jason.

He only finds out as he's driving down town and sees a giant billboard reading 'Wayne Enterprises. Our CEO is getting plowed by Superman. Can you say the same for yours?'

Suprisingly, the share price goes up.

it's just. it's the way that loki drops the space stone and doesn't even care what happens to it. It's just an after thought to him. Loki has been chasing that block of glass since the Attack on New York and when it comes down to it, he doesn't even hesitate. It's the way that he tackles Thor, like there is nothing more important in the universe to him. it's the WAY that he grabs Thor, pulling Thor down on top of HIM so Thor doesn't have to hit the metal of the ship and aggravate his injuries. It's the way that Loki and Hulk coordinated SOLEY to rescue thor. How Hulk BARRELS into Thanos' ARM not his back, not his side, his ARM so that way Thanos will be forced to release Thor instinctively.

It's how Thor reaches for Loki as Loki grabs him, like Thor intended to GRAB HIM FIRST, EVEN THOUGH THANOS IS STILL HOLDING HIM. It's how Thor immediately starts to collapse once Thanos lets go of him and Loki is there to catch him.

Hunter and Echo have the same goal in the end.

Give Omega a better life.

They just have a total opposite ways to do it, but both are valid.

Hunter wants to keep a low profile and let the Empire keep thinking they are dead. Keep in the shadow as giving Omega the best life they can.

Echo want to joins a larger cause and stop the Empire to growth stronger. By eliminating the biggest treats, he giving Omega a free future.

When you think about it, their views make sense.

Hunter been the leader for a strike team that could only count on themselves. Their missions where now and then and with immediate results: stop insurrection, retrieve prisoners of war or back-up for other battalions. Smaller pictures.

Echo was a tactician with Rex and stuck as the Algorithm. To make counter attack plan you need to see a larger scale. Biggest picture.

Their view are oppose in theory but not in practice. They just need to sees eyes to eyes.

Sure for us viewers, Echo’s plan is doom from the start because we know the future. We know the Empire will only growth stronger and will rule for two decades. But for the Bad Batch, it only been a few months. There still a chance to change the balance.

I wasn’t expecting much. Maybe Vader’s baritone with hints of melody. I was *not* expecting it to be a masterpiece, what the fuck, this is a million times better than I was expecting and it’s unironically really good. Turn on that volume button.

Thanks to the post-credit scene, director Ryan Coogler wanted to close his farewell to Chadwick Boseman and the legacy that Black Panther left not only in the Marvel universe. It is a touching scene, which gives hope for the future and casts a sweeter light on the past. The worthy conclusion of a film that wants to be able to sew the void left by the premature death of the American actor, without replacing it.

Thank you Chad, thank you so much for making us witness your immense skill. ♥️♥️♥️
