I have a new #birds fic talk tag that I'm slapping on all my fic related posts for better organization, so like, use that to circle around the clutter if that's what you're here for
You Are Not Immune To fanart of characters who die in canon that has them alive and well, with scars from the wound that originally killed them
I pointed this out in a Discord server I'm in and thought Id share here:
Bob Iger announced that Disney is going to absorb Hulu, and Hulu will no longer exist next year. All shows will move to the Disney+ app.
Disney also announced they were going to remove shows and movies periodically from their streaming services.
I believe both of these moves are because of the Writers Strike.
Disney knows its going to lose the strike. There is too much public support. Specifically, the WGA is going to win writers getting more residuals from streaming.
So if Disney takes shows off of streaming, they dont have to pay the writers the residuals.
They are going to use excuses like "not enough funding for the server capacity" or "not enough views to warrent keeping the show". These are BULLSHIT. Its all greed. Its only GREED.
Pay attention to what happens in the following weeks.
And keep supporting the writers' strike.
Bruce always worries when his children disappear or leave Gotham, but he gets even worse when it's Dick or Tim.
This is the thing, Jason goes off world with Kori and Roy and comes back calmer and saner.
Cassandra rarely stays in Gotham. She has a hard time remembering to call home, but she does, and Bruce is immensely happy to hear from her.
Damian goes off and returns with a sense of self and victory. He had a lot of fun with Jon, no one knows what they were up to.
Dick leaves and when he's back, he is carrying 3000 new tons of ✨trauma✨. He's been tortured, held hostage, save a small planet, lost his teammates. It's been a hellish week, let alone a month.
Tim disappears, doesn't call, doesn't text, nobody knows where he is. He comes back one day with a longer criminal record and the loyalty of a gaggle of assorted unhinged individuals.
Bruce trusts Jason, Cass and Damian to be responsible. Dick attracts danger, and Tim stumbles into it instead of sidestepping it.
Just a reminder I do not support AI art, writing, or music in any form. I do NOT care if it’s easier to enjoy your blorbos with ai content. By supporting ai content you’re just literally cutting out human connection and telling human creators that they’re replaceable. As a human you should feel terrible about this.
*sigh* Reminding all of you once again...
AI art is stolen art.
If you're pro-AI art, you're harming human artists. Full stop.
At this point, I don't care if it's "real art" or not because that's not even what the real issue is, it's that it's already hard enough to succeed as an artist without having our work stolen, thrown into a digital blender, and spat back out in our faces, so we can be replaced because the value of our creativity and skill has been reduced to "content" and dollar signs. Do we mean nothing to you? Is your convenience worth telling us we don't matter?
These programs and everyone who uses them no matter how many times we've told you this can get fucked. I'm done being nice about it.
Sincerely, your salty neighborhood artist.
I wish every AI “artist” a very I’m going to bust your kneecaps with a baseball bat
i fucking HATE it here 😩😩
i wish everyone who "does"/supports ai "art" a very GET FUCKED
Tears of the Kingdom is the first time the Zelda series has produced a direct, it's-the-same-Link-we-swear-you-guys sequel since 2007's Phantom Hourglass, so this is probably many contemporary fans' first turn on this particular merry-go-round.
Allow me to assure you: there is no great mystery, and there is no master plan. Every worldbuilding inconsistency and every bit of timeline weirdness between Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom is purely a product of the fact that the Zelda franchise's writers have the creative impulse control of a pack of squirrels, and don't give a single solitary fuck about continuity.
When you accept that this is true, and you see how cavalierly they're willing to treat continuity even between two games which are ostensibly direct sequels starring the same cast of characters and set just a few years apart, you may begin to understand why the timeline of the series as a whole looks the way that it does.
Never forget that Dracula, one of the most iconic villains in all of media, is first introduced wearing a fake beard and a big hat to pretend to be his own carriage driver
The disempowerment of evil is a major theme in this book. Dracula relies on fear and mystery, and his plans unravel as soon as the gang starts sharing information. His solitude is heavily contrasted with a web of connected humans. I think Bram is very clearly saying that evil should be ridiculed.
Melon Husk is stomping around Twitter HQ, ordering his employees to catch Dril and put the blue check back on him after the fiftieth name change like some sick cyberpunk CEO version of Wile E. Coyote.
I don’t think it’s going well, tbh.
