[I am in love with Chakotay being in love with Captain Janeway. The way he looks at her. The way his voice softens when he talks to her. I just love everything about his love for her. I only wish she had been willing to explore it. Their love could have been monumental, if she had been willing.]
This is true of the way she would speak to him as well. The times she would allow herself to be soft with him. It was painfully obvious they both had feelings for each other. Just look at Shattered. Eating dinner, Lounging on her couch by candlelight drinking Antarian cider....Even her pre delta quadrant self fell for him and rapidly found trust in him after getting to know the person he would become and all the personal things he knew about her was clear to her that they became very close on some level. Really right now?!!?

This upsets me knowing that this was supposed to be something more in this ep. To cut out the original scene after having actually filmed it...??? Sacrilegious.
Fuck that shit. Kathryn should have thrown protocol right out the airlock immediately after getting that letter from Mark.
Poor Chakotay. And poor Kathryn for choosing to cling to her starfleet safety net instead of the better happier option.
