yes hello 911 i’m being forced into adulthood and i don’t like it send help
someone, reading my writing: wow great story!
me, sticking my hands in the plotholes: thanks it has pockets :)
every book i’ve ever read is now deeply rooted in my personality and self-identity i cannot change this
waking up and realizing you still have more time to sleep

i witnessed the most fascinating thing today imo…my 4th grade art class were talking while they did their work and one of them was like “if you work hard all your life…….it means NOTHING” and their response was to all crack up and start running with this bit like. “you work all your life on an oil painting. the mayor comes in. he says ‘i didn’t even ask you to do that painting.’” they kept going giving examples of nothing mattering and laughing hysterically. they’re 9. like, we think OUR humor is depressing or w/e, how are THEY going to be
Millennials are depressed but the Gen Z kids are straight up nihilists
repeat after me:
- even if i don’t like my body today i will take care of it
- even if i don’t like myself today i will still be patient and kind with myself
- even if i do not love myself i will still take care of and be kind to myself, despite not wanting to
Me for all of high school
This is so real.
Listen to me. This is your life– no one else’s. At the end of the day, it is you who has to be happy with the choices you are making, food you are eating, things you are doing, goals you are pursuing. Do not let the opinions and judgments of others stop you from doing what you feel and know in your heart is right for you. Eat the food that makes you feel best. Do what makes you feel at peace. Surround yourself with people who make you feel good, who make you laugh, who sincerely make you smile. Go after what you want– not because someone else is telling you to, but because you want to. Listen to that inner voice, trust your gut, and trust yourself.
Do you ever listen to a song and remember exactly what life was like when you first heard it?
