the hype // the outside

"Sometimes I feel cold, even paralyzed" (he is visibly v cold, his face and hair are even a little frosty. he also struggles to move a little, as if paralysed)

"Nice to know my kind will be on my side" (Josh, a fellow bandito (in the role of Torchbearer), which is especially notable because Tyler has been in Dema for so long before this, away from all them)

"And you know you're a terrible sight" (he covers his eyes, and obviously looks a little worse for wear (seeing as hes been drifting in the ocean for god knows how long) but i dont think thats really what this lyric means)

"It might take some friends..." (Josh, the Neds)

"...and a warmer shirt" (clothes have been set out which i have many theories for, as either the Neds knew they were coming and got them ((but from where??)) or they may have been left there for josh or tyler to come back to when they escaped dema (but the escape took longer than thought as they have bf-era logos))

"But you don't get thick skin without getting burnt" (one of the most notable things about Josh's character is the torch he carries (hes literally the torchbearer) so Tyler holding it alone might mean something (symbolic?), and the fact that the Neds are sat round a big campfire)

"I don't know which way I'm going, but I can hear my way around" (Tyler looks around for Josh, but it could seem like he's looking around because he's lost. Around this point, music from Migraine (iirc) also starts playing faintly leaning into the hearing your way around)

Of course, there are some things that don't fit this as I basically slapped this all together this afternoon. Like, for example, what would 'the hype' be in this context? Dema? The bishops? that would make sense ig, but not be very obvious.
