i feel like people would take orientalism more seriously if they realized it’s not just about how it’s like “problematic” to draw link in that one outfit or whatever but is like a perception of asian societies and cultures that has very directly aided in the horrific atrocities of imperialism and colonialism and is still everywhere today. like it’s EVERYWHERE it’s in the stupid zelda video game it’s in your favorite sci-fi and fantasy franchises it’s in the way people discuss politics and culture and history and art. once you start seeing it you cant unsee it and i think if people started seeing it they would understand why it matters

The devs of this website are so childish and cannot respond to criticism. People are giving very elegant and verbose criticisms, without hatred, genuine criticism, and then the staff are whining and crying about it. Imagine being this hostile toward your userbase and then begging them for money; touting memes and jokes that you stole from them. And that's another thing -- nothing about the memes and jokes the staff & devs parade around is their own original thoughts. They mock the userbase they steal from then wonder why that userbase is actively hostile toward them back.
Men should start bragging about having small and average size dicks because anything above 5 inches is unnecessary and you're scaring the hoes

jordan peele made a movie that said this industry and the media surrounding it chews people up to a pulp and spits them out and then wonders why they’re dead or crazy and then has the audacity to make content from their deaths and their insanity and the only way you can survive is if you keep your head down because if you just so happen to slip up if you look up look around when you know you shouldn’t the industry the media everything is going to eat you alive and I totally believe that the powers that be who do the chewing and the spitting and the exploitative death content did not like that at all

This is probably an illegal eviction, but that would still require him to file something in court, which would mean needing to get legal help. Legal Aid exists specifically for this purpose and typically prioritize cases like this, but that's still a whole process that should not need to happen in the first place. A lot of work while you're just trying to survive, that's for sure.
Anyway, this is why housing first is such an important mantra and why housing needs to be a human right.

Massive red flag when I ask someone to hang out and they say they don't have money as if there aren't dozens of ways to hang out for free.
I usually say it as a means to set expectations: "I don't have any money, so we'll have to do something at one of our homes, go to a park, do crafts etc." would be the full sentence. I don't want a friend getting excited about going out drinking when theres no way I could afford that.
