Yellowjackets Season 2 | Episode 6
gleaming, twinkling eyes like sinking ships on waters so inviting, i almost jump in - ts, gold rush
still absolutely obsessed with folkevermore, so here ya go, my two favourite things mashed together <3
Obsessed with the idea of sacrifice in a book being a selfish act rather than a selfless one. Their lover screaming at them: “How dare you leave me in this barren world? How dare you take away my choice to die for you and leave me with this grief?”. They are dead, and their lover is left - a gaping wound - bleeding into the ground. Do they love them so much that they would die for them, or do they love them so much that they forced the other to live without them? Sacrifice as a bitter act. Sacrifice as something wildly violent; something tormentingly cruel — but always, always built on love. Perhaps, they are both martyrs in the end.
Thinking about Remus telling Grant the story of Odysseus— neither of them realizing that Remus was Odysseus, Grant was Calypso and Sirius was Penelope and that no matter how much Calypso loved Odysseus, they were not meant to be together forever, for Odysseus’ heart belonged to Penelope.
sometimes love is an atheist gang leader and a religious girl who’s the only saint he believes in
when patroclus said “i will never leave him. it will be this, always, for as long as he will let me” and when sam gamgee said “don’t go where i can’t follow” and when bucky barnes said “i’m with you till the end of the line” and kaz brekker said “i would have come for you. and if i couldn’t walk i’d crawl to you” and orpheus said “wherever she is that’s where I’ll go” and castiel said “i’ll go with you”
no saint ever watched over me, not like you have.
