i'm begging you guys to start pirating shit from streaming platforms. there are so many websites where you can stream that shit for free, here's a quick HOW TO:
1) Search for: watch TITLE OF WORK free online
2) Scroll to the bottom of results. Click any of the "Complaint" links
3) You will be taken to a long list of links that were removed for copyright infringement. Use the 'find' function to search for the name of the show/movie you were originally searching for. You will get something like this (specifics removed because if you love an illegal streaming site you don't post its url on social media)
4) each of these links is to a website where you can stream shit for free. go to the individual websites and search for your show/movie. you might have to copy-paste a few before you find exactly what you're looking, but the whole process only takes a minute. the speed/quality is usually the same as on netflix/whatever, and they even have subtitles! (make sure to use an adblocker though, these sites are funded by annoying popups)
In conclusion, if you do this often enough you will start recognizing the most dependable websites, and you can just bookmark those instead. (note: this is completely separate from torrenting, which is also a beautiful thing but requires different software and a vpn)
you can also download the media in question (look for a "download" button built into the video window, or use a browser extension such as Video DownloadHelper.)

I think the funniest competition I’ve ever won was a kids’ costume contest at a huge Renaissance Faire. There were 40 other children and I won for being a little freak
I am not lying when I say that every single other person in the competition was dressed in very fancy fairy and knight costumes their parents had clearly dropped some serious cash on. Meanwhile I was in:
- A fluffy bodysuit
- A hand-sewn fluffy wolf tail
- A scary wolf mask
And during the whole competition, whenever the judges asked me questions, I just REFUSED to break character, so I would just start snarling and howling and barking out stuff like “WANT MEAT.” I was also 4′10 and eleven years old. At one point they asked us to show off our talents and mine was “terror” (I sprinted at a guy in the audience with no warning and he took it like a champ by screaming very loudly).
The judges fucking loved it. I got $100 and a t-shirt.

Lake Natron is an alkaline salt lake of volcanic origin, where the water is as caustic as pure ammonia and can be hotter than a sauna at 140 F!
what lives here? not much. just the extremophile bacteria that gives the water and salt flats their pink tint, really.

that's right, if you're a Lesser Flamingo, this volcanic hellscape is home sweet home! they live in the lake year-round, feeding on the bacteria that they painstakingly filter out of the near-boiling waters with their hooked beaks.
and at some point, some traveling humans presumably noticed a flock of giant pink birds taking flight from a poisonous and hard-to-reach bright-red hellscape, with billowing clouds of steam that might have looked like smoke from a distance, and took word to the nearest settlement. and from there the tale passed on through the old world, eventually growing into the legend of the bird that sets itself alight to be reborn that we know and love today!
so, yeah! phoenixes eat cyanobacteria.

Cool theory, but, uh, source? Also, there’s a difference between a mythical creature and its real life inspiration, you can’t just start calling flamingos phoenixes. That’d be like calling snakes hydras, or something.
I’ve seen people jokingly throw the words “Bible fandom” around as a funny way to refer to Christianity, but, I mean, most fans of Greek myths and stuff don’t actually worship the olympians. There’s definitely probably non-religious Bible fans out there.

The “has mighty non-human comrade” comparison is a bit of a stretch. Stands aren’t sentient enough to be considered people, (except when they are, I guess.) They’re normally just extensions of their users. You can’t be comrades with yourself, that doesn’t make any logical sense. However, there is a chance that I am entirely misreading this post and OP was comparing Alucard with Iggy, not Star Platinum.
