I saw you talking about it on the discord, yeah. Top 32 by which criteria? Most requested or most filled? I can crunch the numbers for you (any excuse to start a new spreadsheet) for either.

write your rarepairs. fill that ao3 tag with rarepairs. convert people to your rarepair by making good content of it. draw your rarepair. love your rarepair. even if you are the sole person who made it up with a few people in japan drawing fanart, you have so much power and control at your fingertips by wanting to create. sure, you’ll have to make your own meals while people into popular ships can filter by precise tags to get exactly what you want, but you have something they don’t: you can make your own fandom experience enjoyable and make several people happy in the process by making that counter go up for pieces of content.
i don’t care if your favs don’t even look at each other in canon. if you see narrative parallels between them and you think they complete each other, let the content do the talking.

My apologies to @cosmic-llin and @obstinatecondolement who run the amazing @trek-rarepair-swap - I’m sorry it took me so long. I was hoping that the quarantine might finally give me the opportunity to finish this one… but it turns out that with my work moving onto online, I had a lot more to do, compared to my regular work… that and the scanner I’ve been using for years has croaked.

We do not accommodate requests along the lines of “no trans fic” or “no asexual characters” etc. — your creator is free to interpret your requested characters and ship however they like, with the only caveat that / denotes a romantic and/or sexual relationship and & denotes a platonic relationship.
Similarly, when signing up you may request 1-3 ships. You may not make any requests regarding specific details or prompts. If you and the person assigned to you chat after being matched and decide on a prompt together or you give them some general ideas about what you like and don’t like, that is absolutely fine, but you are not guaranteed a specific prompt or interpretation. The deadline for Round 33 is May 14. If you run into trouble and will not be able to make the deadline let us know as soon as possible.
