i always think about that study where they had adults hold a baby, and when they were told the baby was a girl the adults said she was cute and small, and when they were told the baby was a boy they said he was big and strong. they rated the baby’s ability to do things and tendency towards certain toys differently. they even held the baby differently. (x) or when they rated the baby’s physical ability to do various tasks such as climbing up a slope differently, (x) & when they measured how much parents told their girl children vs. their boy children to be careful and stop being so rowdy (x), & when they measured how often girls and boys were told to be quiet. (x) this was, obviously, all unconscious behavior in the adults. they’re not all like, raving sexists who outspokenly believe that women can’t do stuff or that girls really should just be quieter, be more still than boys. like its not even counting the direct, actual messages, its just literally how every single person in your entire life treats you, and if asked they would probably deny that its even because you’re a girl. how the fuck am i supposed to believe this doesn’t affect a child’s development when its literally constant throughout the entire process 

This shit starts as soon as early as when someone’s still a fucking fetus. I’ve heard the saying “discrimination starts as soon as you leave the womb” but it actually starts earlier than that.

I legit thought April’s Fools was a month away from now till I looked at what day is on my phone, time is a fucking joke at this point

I always thought Mira’s tragic death, Kat’s too, Daphne, & Illian showing that no matter how much the royal siblings tried to be a family it never worked. And usually ended in a worse tragedy than usual since they were able to create emotional bonds. Kats unwilling killing of Mirabella and the tearing from her sibling. Mirabella with her baby sister killing her knowing the middle child (Arsinoe) would be furious since Mira had trusted her. And Arsinoe having to deal with the grief of both siblings being dead the 5th fate in my opinion.  

Though I always thought Rho’s death was along the same lines with her faith to the goddess (someone who did not care for her daughters/reincarnations/descendants) blinding her too Kat’s lies. the ‘‘chosen” Queen by the hand of the goddess. In turn allowing the dead to be sent into her and locking into her grasp just like Kat was trapped as a puppet till the end.

just to be clear, the fact that music was nominated for a golden globe is absolutely disgusting. every single (adult) involved in that gross, ableist movie should be sickened by themselves.

for those of you who don't know, music (2021) is a movie being directed by sia about a nonverable autistic girl. not only does it not include any actually autistic people in the movie itself but it also only took advice from autism speaks which is looked at as a hate group by the majority of the autistic community. leaked scenes have also shown the movie glorifying prone restraints which are incredibly dangerous and have resulted in major injuries and even death to disabled people as recently as last year.

autistic people just like me have been incredibly outspoken about how harmful this movie is but the allistic have been mostly silent. we are already seeing reviews calling this movie 'inspiring' and important' and it's absolutely horrific! we need your help calling this out. please stand with us and call out this disgusting display of disrespect to autistic folks.

Sia recently said, in response to outcry from autistic people, that she was going to cut the restraint scenes from future screenings if the film and ads a disclaimer at the start because she had "listened to the wrong people" during her "research", but the fact remains that she was actively hostile to autistic people's concerns for a long-ass time and lied repeatedly - e.g. about having initially hired an autistic actress for the role, then replacing her when she found the set too overwhelming; quotes from interviews years ago confirm that she wrote the role for this specific actor all along.
