Well, the big date got cancelled.
Her ex didn't pick up their kids like he was supposed to and now she isn't really talking to me.
I'm assuming she's overwhelmed from fighting with her ex and dealing with distraught children, but there's still that insecure voice in my head telling me she's going to ghost me.
Time will tell, I suppose.
I went on the first date I've been on in years Saturday night.
It was amazing. We spent hours talking. Went back to my place and talked for several more hours until she fell asleep in my lap.
We met up for lunch Sunday and have an epic date planned this Saturday. Getting ramen then going to the aquarium and getting gelato after. Then we're going back to my place to cuddle, watch anime, and make brownies.
I haven't been this happy in a while. My manager and senior manager even noticed that my mood has improved. I think if Saturday goes as well as we're imagining, we may officially start dating.
I should also be interviewing for a temporary position in the department I really want to be in that could serve as a solid foot in the door. Plus the pay increase would be nice, even if only temporarily.
