more of a half thought ! but its interesting how c3 handles the theme of repeating intergenerational cycles vs c1. like w c1 its v much history repeating itself, the same bands of heroes come together and fall apart in parallel ways. c3 i think so far has been kind of more about pc backgrounds and families?

like im thinking all the time about how swag is just a version of sol who didnt have friends, and otherwise their character arc (the way they seek connections/purpose and get exploited by them) is very purposely similar. then w the most recent ep, its callies mom as the descendant of aryox. the way her inherited gift causes her to fall down the same road as he did. cold and distant from the peoples shes fighting from, and dying in contrition.

.. if thats anything. theres also the ways duck team falls short of whats expected of them, and how that failure is what allows them to break out of those intergenerational familial cycles. (maybe callie especially? w like her inability to be stoic and her intensity of love is what allows her to reach out to the snakes and the wild)

After much planning, time and love, I've finally finished my World's Beyond Number nesting dolls. Im not one to make fan art, but this podcast has moved me to the point of creation. I simply NEEDED to have the gang for my desk. Im so happy with all the details I was able to fit in.

she revived the rats. do you understand? you have to, just... her party got strong off of stepping on the little guy. and lucy went back and said no, and brought them back. rats! no one cares about rats. her party members have a joke about how many rats they've killed. lucy went back and healed them.

this becomes... even sadder if the rat grinders killed lucy.

she was not a happy soul, but she was kind. awkward. her goddess represented winter and sorrow. she believed that the winds are cold and we are made to warm each other. the night is long, and that's why we keep the fire lit.

her grave was desecrated. she was killed by multiple assailants. lacerations, broken bones, spell damage.

when lucy was part of the rat grinders, they were called the high-five heroes. when they started training by killing rats, she helped. and then something changed, and she started returning to heal the rats that they had hurt. she was a friend to the rats.

and then lucy died, and the party changed their name. to an inside joke, per kipperlily. a reference to the rats, certainly, but perhaps also to the fact that the one member of the party who cared for them is now gone. they ground her up. like the rats. and they made sure to desecrate her grave and cover it so that no one could show her the same kindness that she did.

She's kind of a Legend now, Ragh.

Starting with a battle like Starstruck: So much fun!

Introducing a bunch of NPCs and Pretending We Know and Love Them: INSPIRED!

Episode One was so fucking cool. Adaine is wizarding it up all over. Fabian is doing his normal bullshit plus all the Ecaf shit is hilarious. Kristen becoming a Gym Bro and ghosting her god is good shit. Riz shooting and driving and making all kinds of checks—Wow! Fig doing big damage and making deals with devil! Gorgug is seemingly the most grounded of them now. The rest are unhinged.

Brennan is bringing his A-Game. Really impressed with this battle and all the mechanics and shit going on. This is Murph-level design. (Which is like the highest compliment I can give because I truly think Murph is the best encounter designer in the actual play realm.)

Also, I love that as Ally continued their journey on T and explores elements of masculinity, their and Murph's dynamic has grown and they're like super broey together. Ally and Murph's whole thing may be one of my favourite cast dynamics.

I loved this episode! The Bad Kids are SO fucking BACK.

Ally makes a choice this season that is so wild it makes Brennan threaten to quit DMing. What could possibly be more insane than attempting to fly with a dance ribbon. or running straight at an entity of chaos and void. or literally anything else Ally has ever done. The bar is so high I can’t even imagine how they’ll top it

I love that Emily wanted enough for Fig to just be happy after fhsy that she was ready to retire her 🥹

And I know I would have LOVED whatever new character she came up with

Both Adaine and Riz are rebranding as cool kids and I can't wait to see how fast that falls apart lmao

It’s not that I necessarily want Kristen and Tracker to break up but at the same time I have to acknowledge both how likely it is and how awkward and crazy Ally and Brennan would play it. Like Kristen and Tracker literally LIVE together. It would be the lesbian breakup to end all lesbian break ups. And in that respect I’m intrigued
