Oh, so the Sonic Superstars announcement was a distraction from the fact Sega is actively union-busting.

AEGIS is asking for people to spread awareness by retweeting the above tweet and signing the petition to Sega management, which can be found here.

Please note that they also say "Continue playing the Sega games we all love." THIS MEANS TO NOT BOYCOTT SEGA OR ITS PRODUCTS.

So close: Sonic Frontiers fails to capture The Game Awards popular vote category

Sonic Frontiers was bested by Genshin Impact to win the "Players' Voice" popular vote category at The Game Awards.

Following three open rounds of competition, Frontiers was topped by Genshin Impact in the third and final round.

Before that, it fought tooth-and-nail for first place against the eventual winner in the second round, and surpassed titles like "Pokémon Scarlet and Violet" in the opening act.

Many passionate fans saw Frontiers' nomination as a chance of redemption following the presumed "snub" out of potential soundtrack or gameplay nominations.

Now, the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise has yet to successfully win any accolade from The Game Awards, following Mania's attempt to win in the Best Family Game category in 2017, and Paramount's attempt to win the Best Adaptation award for the Sonic movie sequel.

The next opportunity for Frontiers to snag a win will be in January 2023, when the winners of The Steam Awards are expected to be announced.
