Soooooo I just spent the last 48 hours having a BREATHTAKING GALAXY BRAIN EPIPHANY about Good Omens Season 2 and feverishly writing a fuckin16,000 word essay about the incredible magic trick that @neil-gaiman pulled off.
Yes, it’s long, but I PROMISE your brains will explode. Do you want to know how magic works? Do you want to know what Metatron’s deal is (I’m like 99% sure of this and it’s EXTREMELY FUCKING GOOD)? Do you want to know about the Mystery of the Vanishing Eccles Cakes and the big fat beautiful clue I found in the opening credits? Do you go through the whole inventory of Chekov’s Firearm & Heavy Artillery Discount Warehouse?

Hey, I usually don't make serious posts, but this one is a big deal to me and many other small creatives, so please read or spread the message, especially in light of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.
Google Labs is introducing a new ai that will just scrape your documents for ideas, plots, and other things to feed its algorithms. This information is stored SEPARATELY from your Google account.
Google will be collecting this user data and have at their disposal the ability to have free scripts for any content they want to produce without giving a cent to the original authors of these scripts, novels, character organizers, fics, etc. that the ai would be heavily basing these generated stories on. But that's not all, these ai's are also showing these works to human reviewers in order to "help improve quality of products" sharing works without consent of the author with real actual people to see if the ai is responding well enought to the prompts and imput (aka the intire documents as this is a fully intagrated ai -_-)
The reason this is going to be so terrible is that not if but when Google decides to open a production company (youtube movies will be first but they likely will open another streaming platform) these scripts their ai wrote them are probably going to be almost wholly plagiarized from docs user content that was stolen, without paying an actual writer anything at all.
If you are at all creative in the slightest PLEASE get your work off of docs before the features are fully integrated, scrub your google drive, and move to another program. Mircosoft, Libre (free and open source) ANYTHING to protect your works and if possible move away from Google products generally. Use a different search engine even. I'm going to link two TikTok creators from who I found this information as well as a list of alternative products to use away from Google in hopes to avoid them. Make them feel the backlash. It doesn't matter if they already have your data take charge of your internet person and DON'T GIVE IN

There should be nationwide solidarity protests for the LGBT folk in Florida.
We need to show we're united and supportive, that we aren't just leaving each other to the wolves.
I have a proposal...
June 1st. The first day of Pride. That's not to far from now.
What if we started Pride with protests in every major city and town that can plan a protest by then. With a matching boycott on everything online/offline for just that one day to match.
The feds and states get taxes on everything after all, it's not just the companies making profit.
And when you protest you need demands. You cant expect a government that historically has not protected you to just suddenly know/do what's best. And they need to be concise and focused on your specific cause.
Hypothetically speaking, what if these were our demands:
LGBT & Queer Rights Be Codified
- ALL of the same full citizenship privileges that cishet Americans are automatically afforded by age, relationship, or birthright (ex: marriage, medical, spousal, & parental rights) - no longer 2nd class citizens.
- Including bodily autonomy as a measure to guarantee that we can make our own medical choices & regulate what happens to our own bodies (ex: HRT, surgery, abortion)
Dissolving and barring any and all trans panic and gay panic laws.
Expand On and Codify Anti-Discrimination Laws
- Barring discrimination against those who present or identify as any gender regardless of whether or not that aligns with their legal or physical sex
- Religion must be explicitly defined as a non-valid cause for challenging the constitutional or federal freedoms of any specific group
- Because of 1 & 2(below) we need a process to remove any government official when states systematically prevent citizens from challenging or removing corrupt officials that are directly challenging our freedoms.
- "Lower courts reasonably interpreted Supreme Court precedents as holding that unless First Amendment freedoms were targeted directly and specifically, antidiscrimination laws-promulgated at any level of government, and protecting any group-are exempt from normal constitutional limitations."
- Florida has no virtually no recall laws for governor
