Women/young girls can definitely be just as abusive. I knew a young man that got ran over and had his leg broken by his girlfriend because (in her words he annoyed her) He refused to press charges. Another young lady started to hit her ex boyfriend because he wouldn’t take her back because of the abuse. He called the cops on her and they literally started laughing at him because she was very petite in comparison to him. Anyone can be abusive and I wish more people understood that.

I am not a satanist so I can not provide in-depth knowledge but there are many branches/types of satanism. Here is the ones I know of.. I might get a few things wrong but as said before I don’t practice satanism.
The Church of Satan: The church of Satan belives in no deity except for that of yourself! You are your own god/goddess. You worship yourself in the form of self-love, self betterment, happiness, and pursuing knowledge. To name a few. This branch of satanism encourages sex, but sexual acts towards children or animals are considered sins. (This church was founded by the man who wrote the satanic bible)
The Satanic Temple: Above all this branch encourages benevolence and empathy as well as the embrace of common sense and justice. This group does not worship Satan as a deity but rather as a figure off rebellion. Recently you may have heard that the temple erected a statue of Baphomet on public property in Detroit because of the city building a statue of the 10 Commandments. They also held a “Pink Mass” at the funeral of Westboro Baptist Church Leader Fred Phelps’ mother. Gay couples were welcomed to the pink mass and encouraged to publicly display affection and wish for Phelps’ mother to be “gay in the afterlife.”
Luciferianism: Luciferians are most concerned with the pursuit of knowledge. They worship Lucifer (mostly as a symbol but some as a deity) rather than Satan. To them he embodies self-determination and liberation from the slave mentality. Luciferians’ main goal is to help people “take responsibility for their own life and act as an individual moral agent, using the full potential of their own genius and thereby optimizing possibilities.”
Christian-based Duo Theism: This is a very small sect of Satanism that differs greatly from the rest. Theistic Satanists believe in the Christian bible… but in the war between Satan and the Lord, they’re on the side of Satan.

This goes beyond being anti-map. It means being anti-abuse of all kinds. Satanic organizations have set up programs (i think it was the satanic temple) in I believe Texas; where it’s still legal to spank children in school. They set it up so any child can claim Satanism as their belief and the satanic church will ensure they are exempted from spankings, even going as far as to take schools to court if they refuse.
They don’t just protest maps, they actively protect kids in as many ways as they can. This is one reason Satanism is fucking awesome, and by far my favorite religion… Except maybe Buddhism and Taoism.
As for how this applies to Magick… Since I’m fudging my rule slightly, I’ll expand on how Satanism (atheistic, not theistic) has applications in Magick.
First, this is an example of how important it is to think about the full implications of a spell or element. How Much one thing can do. Thou shalt not harm Little children is anti map, but also so very much more. Likewise, in Magick It’s very beneficial and important to think of all the ways you can utilize a given tool, focus, spell, or element. You would be amazed how much you can do with a single stone if you truly understand it’s nature.
For example; Lapis Lazuli gives lots of insight. Wisdom. Awareness. Useful in its own right, but you can apply this effect to a wide variety of problems.
Need to get more money? Lapis can help you get insight into why you aren’t making money, how to change that, how to get more money, who to go to for help, the nature of the economy, the nature of your job, how to get a promotion, how to land a job, what the person giving a job interview wants you to say, what you really need to do in a job, how the stock market works, which investments are wise, why they are wise, etc…
Relationship issues? Why you have them, what you are doing to contribute, what the other is doing, how to solve it, why each is doing things, how the dysfunction contributes to the balance of the relationship, why you are staying, if you should stay, if it is wise to leave, how and when to leave, how to strengthen the relationship, why you are in the relationship, what your partner wants but isn’t saying, why they are really frustrated with you- or you can direct it to your partner to cultivate in them similar wisdom and understanding.
Person making your life miserable? What you can to do stop them, why you tolerate that abuse, how to get them in trouble, how to turn the tables, how to benefit from the situation, or you can Infuse them with the energy of lapis, directing it to give them insight on why they are abusive, what they need to do to stop, why they should stop, how to heal from their own issues, etc…
Just as the satanic temple has Gone beyond the surface meaning of its commandments, so too should you do likewise with whatever form of Magick you work with. Remember, the thousand spells you have cast once see worthless. It is the one spell you have cast a thousand times that will make the difference.
Next, atheism is actually crucially beneficial in Magick. You don’t need to totally eschew belief, but belief should be a Catalyst for experiment. Take note of what actually happens. If you do, you’ll solve and avoid so many problems. You’ll develop confidence in whatever your system of Magick is,, and criticism won’t phase you. It will either help you, or you’ll have a very solid explanation, and in which case you help the critic. You won’t be insecure or need to trumpet that all Magick is valid.
Further, every Magick user on some level needs to strive to become their own God, the God of their world. Magick is the power and wisdom to do so.
Satanism does not give you something for nothing. It is not a fluffy religion. It is if anything draconic. But that is precisely why it is valuable.
Satanism is also about looking beyond the common perception and challenging it. Satan is considered evil, yet Satanism is actually very healthy for humanity and more humanitarian than most other faiths.
Its the only faith I know of to not only have “don’t rape” but don’t even sexually harass in its fundamental code of rules.
Likewise, in Magick You need to constantly challenge assumptions about what is and what isn’t true. By doing so, you end up learning the true secrets of Magick and gaining real power.
It’s easy to think you know everything, but the truth is, the more you think you know the less you actually know. Satanism is sort of a living proof of concept. Christians typically think they know exactly what it is, in a very simplistic view. Yet it’s a far more diverse and complex faith than most give it credit for, and far from evil.
Finally, the reason I am reblogging this (something I won’t do often) is that this post shows that you can obtain truths of Magick from anywhere. Magick is in everything, after all. Truth is in everything.
The key is learning to find it.
Lex luthor once said in a superman movie that an idiot could read a book on physics and have nothing but a headache to show for it while a genius could read a book on chewing gum and walk away with the secrets of the universe: this is how that is done. There is wisdom in everything.
Incidentally, Satanists I find often make the best mages, because they know how to prove and test and research Magick. They don’t doubt. They don’t believe. They know their Magick works and works as planned… As much as they can prepare for anyways.
Satanism is also an anti-bullshit path, so those Who walk or have walked it tend to be very good at cutting through the bullshit you’ll encounter studying Magick.

Sometimes I think about how the way I met my wife was like a fanfiction
We both had a scholarship to a college soccer team and were the only two competing for center forward, we hit it off instantly and became close friends right away. When our team went to nationals, we had to share a bed and ended up snuggling (and I was, up until that point, absolutely not a physically affectionate person). After we returned home I kept sneaking into her room because I couldn’t sleep without her. Our friends started accusing us of being together and talking crap so, to spite them, we thought it would be a good idea to fake date and sometimes held hands and stuff. We ended up kissing right before she left the country for almost a month and we basically pretended it never happened, and when she came back it happened again and again and then escalated. Cue these lines, verbatin:
Me: *grabs the hand heading between my legs* “Wait, wait.” *sighs, drops forehead to hers* “We’re idiots.”
Her, breathlessly, eyes on my lips: “I’ve always been an idiot.” *swoops in for another kiss*
We ended up taking and decide to be friends with benefits, but JUST kissing benefits, no sex, and then 5 minutes later we had sex. We sleep together for a couple weeks (all the time, any and everywhere) before deciding to make it official, then after another couple weeks say I love you (initially via her closing her eyes and moving her palm from her heart to mine back and forth like a useless lesbian), then about a month later talk about how we wanna get married.
Fast forward a year and we go to university together and we’re roommates. Fast forward four years and we’re married and eloping to Harry Potter World and the beach. Fast forward almost 7 years from when we met and we’re living in the same hometown we first met in and she’s the assistant coach for the team we used to play for. Sex life better than ever (“that much great sex all the time after years together in fics is unrealistic” my ass), I can’t cook for shit but I try, we ride bikes around town and we’re basically the only gays in the village and there’s a little rainbow statue on the outside of our windowsill.
7 years ago I was so in love with her I could barely breathe, and I love her a thousand times more now than I did then.
