There really is no feeling quite like discovering a new song that fits your blorbo to a T. Best I can do to convey it is something like
Shoutout to the person who reblogged this 185 times in a row. I understand completely.
May he plow the Lord’s fields in heaven
Dave Brandt was probably the longest running no-till farmer in the state; he'd been running his land no-till since 1971. He experimented with fertilizers, cover crops, and different irrigation techniques and he'd been doing all of that for a very long time.
The guy was an institution all on his own; look at this.
- The “A” profile in his soil is now 47 inches deep compared to less than 6 inches in 1971 and acts like a giant sponge for water infiltration and retention.
- From 1971 through 1989 David used an average of 150-250 pounds of nitrogen fertilizer per acre to grow his corn crops. After adding peas and radishes as a cover crop mix, he cut his nitrogen needs in half and was able to get it down to 125 pounds per acre.
- When he added multiple species and became more aggressive with his cover crop mixes, he was able to achieve an additional drop in applied fertility. His starter fertilizer is now just 2 lbs of N, 4 lbs of P, and 5 lbs of K. His corn crop now only requires 20-30 lbs of N throughout the entire growing season. He requires no fertility for his soybeans, relying on fertility gained solely through his cover crops. He uses only 40 lbs of 10 N – 10 P – 10 K for his small grains.
- Ten years ago (source study published 2019) David stopped using any fungicides and insecticides. This occurred at a time when fungicide and insecticide use has increased significantly with the average commodity farmer.
- Four years ago he stopped using any seed treatment, including neonicotinoids.
- His cash crop yields have been increasing by an average of 5% annually for the past 5-6 years, with far less fertilizer and no fungicides, insecticides or seed treatment.
- What started as a basic heavy clay soils when David purchased the farm in 1971 have been officially re-classified by Ohio State University soil scientists as a highly fertile silty loam soil.
Sometimes I'm a boy or a guy but I'm never a man. "Man" as a term is too serious for me. Men do taxes. Guys commit tax fraud
You know who else commits tax fraud?
Well don't be a fucking snitch, muscle man
Oh. Okay.

This is really something I have constantly needed to remind myself, but god damn is it important.
in junior year of highschool my art teacher would let our ceramics class play music of our choice off of her desktop. we usually used spotify or youtube but she did have one album downloaded on her computer. it was a halloween sound effects/ambience collection. i dont remember why she had it. there was a track on there called "burning screams" which was exactly what it sounds like. just a cacophony of screams alongside crackling fire. she only let us play it on very special occasions, and we would cheer and jump with joy every time. it was like a pizza party to us
please imagine 6 teenagers with giant sad puppy eyes looking at a dear sweet 50 something year old art teacher and asking "may we please hear burning screams"
i dont know where burning screams came from. ive looked. its lost media to me. burning screams is my white whale
There should be nationwide solidarity protests for the LGBT folk in Florida.
We need to show we're united and supportive, that we aren't just leaving each other to the wolves.
YES YES YES
I’ve lived in Florida all my life and guess what, this place is diverse. There’s so many black and Latino and Asian people here. We joke that white people are the minority. And we fight like hell. When we’re not gerrymandered and when we organize we get serious wins.
We have a rich history of struggle against racism and oppression: So please stop defining us as “the state with Ron DeSantis” or “Disneyland” Were fucing people. When Ron De Santis demanded info about trans students university students across the campuses walked out and protested. Especiallly among the younger generation, progressive forces are strong. We try our best so don’t abandon us. Show solidarity! The only reason this shit is happening isn’t because the population isnt nothing but white racists, it’s because Florida fascist legislators are backed by national reactionary forces and corporate interests. I already see so much support for us Florida lgbt folks, but it’s good to see more posts like this.

My favorite mermaid art is the one of a family photo with a mermaid mother and old sailor father and their sons are both reverse merfolk (human legs with fish heads).
This is the one!
It's by Jessica Warrick.
When I first saw the AvM "Gunslinger" short

this panel from tails gets trolled is genuinely a level of expressive that i am constantly TRYING to achieve with my own art i’ve always been so genuinely stricken by this panel and how such a crude drawing managed to be so expressive and so strongly evocative of a very specific emotion
sonic heritage post
Another case where the camera was clearly set up to figure out how the little shit was pulling it off
does anyone else hate when they fucking do this
i know everyone saying this is abt strawberry shortcake and yes this was what was first in my mind but like i generally despise the idea that Every Goddamn Cutesy Show needs girl character designs with Humongous Eyes and pointy lil noses and slimmed down faces and straightened overly simplified hair and garish color designs because they basically wanna be Lauren Faust without the actual color and graphic design strengths of the skills it takes to make interesting art directions, mlp:fim worked because it really was conceived first with expressive gestures and expressions in an hyper stylized fantasy land with a certain glam to it, but you cant just force stylization like that without substance or not even thinking of the original emotions that past media is supposed to convey, without even making really bold moves at all, also giving little girls fashion like such a bad bland rep the majority of the time like, why are you making em wear discount basic ass outfits i hate you youre not even giving em aspirational aesthetics .
Antis talk about groomers a lot (as they should! Online grooming is a serious issue.)
But I rarely see young antis practicing internet safety that helps them avoid groomers. Internet security is my livelihood, so it really worries me.
Here are some tips to avoid groomers on the internet.
- First off "Groomers DNI" or "Adults DNI" doesn't help. You are welcome to keep it in your DNI if you want, but the sort of people that respect that DNI are the sort of people that likely don't pose a threat to you anyway.
- Never say your age. I'm serious. "Teenager" is as specific as you can get. "But then, how do you make friends your own age online?" you start talking to people, and you get an estimate about their age.
- Never put your face online either. Not only can groomers and stalkers use it, your future boss might find it and link you back to this social media account.
- Be vague about your location. If I know your timezone, and you tell me about the weather, I have a pretty good idea of where you live. Hell, actively lie about your timezone/location.
- This is a helpful skill to learn, because some (not all, but enough that you need to be careful) of the people that have "15 y/o, above 18 DNI" are actually grown ass adults that will eventually coerce you into doing shit you aren't comfortable with.
- If a place happens to be mostly teens, you are a-okay. If a place explicitly bans adults, run.
- If someone is giving you a bad vibe for any reason, block them. "But give people the benefit of the doubt!" No. Not on the internet. I give a bad vibe? Prepare the block. Your intuition is a huge tool to keep you safe, don't doubt it.
- Don't post pictures you took online. It isn't the content of the photo you should worry about, it's the data that comes with it. Most photos have locations attached.
- Do mention parents/supportive adults in your life that care about you. If none exist, make some up. If it seems like you talk about your internet friends, you don't look like an easy target.
- Say no to your internet friends on occasion. Watch their reactions. If someone begins to act controlling, thats a red flag.
