I would very much like to be excluded

from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be a part of, since 2009

why is concept art always 300% better than the final product especially in western animation

This wasn’t the original concept animation. Elsa was intended to be the villain, but they scrapped it because of the song they gave her. This is some OG concepts

i think vampire girls are always allowed to have fun and slaughter anyone they want to without consequence #feminism

One of my first animation jobs as a Character Modeler working on the the pilot episode of "Rugrats" (Circa 1989-90). Here are some of my development sketches for the "Tommy Pickles" character. Since this was my first animation design job, I was still learning and Peter Chung was gracious enough to show me the ropes in character development and modeling. We were actually developing the characters as we were also in production. I remember Gábor Csupó called me and Peter into a meeting one day and showed us his character sketch ideas that were literally drawn on a restaurant napkin and he said he wanted something like this. Looking back I was extremely lucky and fortunate to be working with Gábor Csupó and Peter Chung. I didn't mention this before, but Lynn Naylor and John Kricfalusi of Spumco at that time recommended me to Libby Simon one of the producers on the show.

This just gets worse doesn’t it

A continuation of one of my first animation jobs as a Character Modeler working on the the pilot episode of "Rugrats" (Circa 1989-90). Here are some of my early early development thumbnail sketches for the "Tommy Pickles" character. Looking at this now Tommy looks very similar to the creature Gollum in the 2001 "Lord of The Rings" movie. Hmmm, could I have been possibly channeling a prediction of this character in the future? Nah, just a coincidence. However, it is odd though.

I don’t know if I like this very much
