One of the most strangest and bizarre games to exist but also one of the most charming, it blows my mind that this game was even localized in the first place but I had the honor of having this game be one of the first games i ever played and I am so glad and grateful that is was because I feel like it kinda shapes my perception of what a “video game” was or could be. I played this game when I was very young some time in the early 90’s and of course I was so young I didn’t really question it, from the story to the enemy design I was immediately a fan regardless of getting stuck all the time and not really knowing what to do or where to go but I didn’t care because I just loved wandering the world and getting excited when I would discover a new area or enemy or stumble across a random boss (governor). To this day I still love this game for how strange and original it is and was for the time it was released, it’s kinda hard to recommend this game to anyone unfortunately because of how hard and archaic it is but if your someone who can enjoy old school games for the sprite work and 8 bit music then I couldn’t recommend it enough and also it’s pretty awesome that it’s referenced in the Scott Pilgrim comics

One of my all time favorite game series, it’s a shame they don’t make Castlevania games anymore ): also this art is amazing
