Canine-headed men thought to come from the hidden cities of Gog & Magog, they are deemed subhuman by the wyrm-corrupted faiths of man. An old heretical story claims the first Wyrms fell to earth after a long bloody war on the moon with savage monsters with the bodies of men but the heads of wolves. The tale says they were one of the few things the dragons feared and would eat wyrms alive & screaming on the moon battlefields.
Few Cynocephali interact with humans in the current age but some royal human lines of special knowledge still know their hidden places and language and use them as royal guards, especially for princesses who are the wyrms favorite targets. The wolf men often agree to this guard duty simply because they would never pass up an opportunity to kill wyrms.
DREAM OF WOLVES
The CANUS despise WYRMS even more than Earth Apes and though equal in terms of ferociousness they have empathy and understand loyalty in a way most WYRMS cannot comprehend. They can and have fed on Earth Apes but were also our war allies in antiquity and they could be our comrades again (if they feel we are strong enough)

Had to draw another public domain superhero. Miss Fury. http://pdsh.wikia.com/wiki/Miss_Fury Who’s like Batman and Catwoman combined. But years before Catwoman became what we know the character as today.
