DE CLARICE LISPECTOR PARA FERNANDO SABINO

Fernando,
Sua carta me surpreendeu tanto. Eu desejo muita felicidade a vocês.
Nada presta. Não sei por onde começar. Não sei que atitude tomar. Eu não sei nada.
Eu digo a mim mesma. Não adianta desesperar. Desesperar é mais fácil que trabalhar. Me manda um conselho, Fernando. Uma palavra amiga. Um abraço grande. Me escrevam, agora que vocês sabem o quanto pode valer uma carta.

Do you write music with the view of being politically active and delivering a message or does it just happen and the rest follows?

Friendly reminder that Hozier’s first music video, in 2013, involved him literally taking his life savings and using it to make a protest video about anti-gay actions in Chechnya. This was not a popular position at the time, to the point that damn near every interviewer asked “so, are you gay?” because they literally could not figure out why he cared so much.

Incidentally, after the first few times of saying “no, I’m straight but it’s important,” he started saying “you can think that if you want.” ALSO not a popular position at the time. Adam Lambert’s entire career had been derailed only four years before because he dared to be openly gay and sexual about it.

He literally came out swinging like Muhammad Ali and has not stopped. And he finds it odd that people find it odd! Like he was asked if he was aware of his “lesbian cult following” and seemed genuinely puzzled why he has a lesbian cult following (and, later, just a massive queer following in general) and it’s like. Honey. You loved us first. You loved us more and harder than most people were willing to. When it was unpopular to even whisper about how maybe queer people shouldn’t be seen as inhuman actually, you grabbed a megaphone and screamed. You risked not just losing a career, but never having one at all, to stand by us. You loved us. We’re just loving you back.

those friends that you love and you worry about. dear god, do you you worry: a web-weave of things in a particular order that makes no particular sense to anyone but me

U can grieve and still live life. U can miss loving someone and love others. You can hold onto the good moments and simultaneously the bad moments. You can take the learning from a person you let go off and use it for the better. You can love someone and they may not be the right person. You can wish someone the best and love them from a distance. You can think fondly of someone and never talk to them again.. mysteries of the world…

i finished watching all of us are dead and it killed me so...here's a web weave on it <3

just imagine Derek thinking he smells Stiles, but it’s not really Stiles. he smells DerekandStiles which is wholeheartedly confusing.

naturally he would follow that scent. of course he follows it. what else could he do?

he ends up at the nemeton, and there’s a baby. just chilling on the stump of the nemeton. he smells like DerekandStiles and he wants Derek to pick him up immediately. he’s not afraid of Derek flashing his eyes or growling or the beta shift. he’s actually quite giggly about it.

just imagine him bringing this baby back. all the wolves would know it smells like DerekandStiles. Peter, of course, notices first. instead of teasing or trying to ask, which everyone expects, he just very calmly takes the baby and goes “well, with Stiles away at the FBI, I guess you’re my new favorite.” Peter buys all the flannel for Eli because he thinks it’s hilarious and it annoys Derek.
