Huh. Oh I still exist I just mostly post about horses on @buttershee now
@NintendoAmerica: As of late March 2023, it will no longer be possible to make Nintendo eShop purchases for the Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS family of systems.
Hack your 3DS. Hack your Wii U. It's easy and fun, and you will gain access to so much shit, you will not lose access to one of the largest generational game libraries, you can access even older games.
It is always morally correct to pirate Nintendo games. Fuck them.
this guide is a good way to hack your 3ds!
one of the easiest methods to hack your 3ds requires a free game that you download from the eshop so do it before the eshop shuts down!
there are other methods as well but just so you know!
I promise you it's easier to do than you think, too! and there are many people (myself included) that would love to help and answer questions, no matter how basic.
I hacked my wii u so it now has every game from every retro console/arcade machine + any wii, GameCube, and wii u games I want. my 3ds has every DS and 3DS title ever released. no regrets.
To a homophobe, even the most chaste kiss on the cheek between gay people is exactly as disgusting and degenerate as a hardcore BDSM orgy hosted in the town square, so you may as well ally with the BDSM orgy enthusiasts to throw bricks at the cops who are going to try and arrest all of you together anyway.
My aunt went into a drunken rage over me holding my lovers hand, literally screaming and locking us in the basement while yelling at us to get out of her house, then called the cops and reported me as a runaway when we went to my lovers house. She claimed I was “forcing” them to hold my hand and the screaming started because they said “It’s my choice and I’m happy to be making it”
The ONLY context I approve of “hiding it from the children” in is when the content is DIRECTLY sexual. Otherwise you will never catch me siding with the “tHiNk oF tHe KiDs” crowd, because fuck those people and fuck their weird belief that simply being LGBT+ is somehow inherently sexual.
the story of the no-fly list hack is a story about what happens when you care about people and its clear from the reactions of certain groups that they dont understand that.
the person who hacked the no-fly list was a swiss trans nonbinary it/she bi poly lesbian cat therian, who upon finding the list knew what it wanted to do with it. it took that list and sent it to journalists, sent it to researchers, sent it to people who cared about the data that was put onto it. then later, it does interviews about why it did it and what it thought of the list.
"Another individual, according to crimew, was listed as 8 years old based on their birth year.
Many entries on the list were names that appeared to be of Arabic or Middle Eastern descent, although Hispanic and Anglican-sounding names were also on the list. Numerous names included aliases that were common misspellings or slightly altered versions of their names.
“It’s just crazy to me how big that Terrorism Screening Database is and yet there is still very clear trends towards almost exclusively Arabic and Russian sounding names throughout the million entries,” crimew said. "
there are Arabic people on that list. Muslim people on that list. Middle Eastern people. Hispanic people. and not only that, they were varying ages. one of them not even being 10 years old. i don't have access to the list myself, but i can sure make a guess as to how many children and teens are probably on that list.
maia says in an interview that there was a hack made to accessing the 2021 no fly list, but the group who preformed it did not give the information out for anyone, not even journalists or researchers to read. and maia thought that was bullshit. it thought that the list shouldve been seen. it thought that the data in there should be known.
and now that it does know, it wants everyone to know how shit of a list it is. it wants people to know that the US government has a much bigger list than previously stated. it wants people to know that the US has a bullshit system for putting people on that list. it wants you to know that specific groups are being targeted because of their race, their religion, where they come from, what even their name sounds like theyre from. it doesnt matter how old they are, what theyve done, even if they have no criminal record. they're on there because of who they are.
maia did that because it cared. it cared about the people who were on it. it cared about the people who were being falsely targeted. it cared about the communities and groups this was hurting. it cared about people.
but it seems like no one can care about two things at once. people dont care about the thousands of children and innocents on the list, they cared it was hacked by a member of LGBT+. people dont care that it was hacked by someone who is a member of LGBT+, they cared it was hacked and that it had people who didnt deserve to be on it.
thats not what this is about. this isnt about things you dont care about. this is about what you should care about. and what you should care about are three things.
- there are people out there who are being targeted all because of where theyre born and what theyre named, and that is not fair and not morally right.
- maia is proud of who it is, it is proud to have the labels that it does, it is proud to be free with its gender and sexual expression, it is proud and happy.
- this is a story of minority helping minority. something that should be a common human rule.
no one cares if you think maia's labels are invalid or if you think its annoying. no one cares that you dont acknowledge the innocents that are on the list. what they do care about is the kindness and caring of other humans that was used to do this. the mindfulness and determination to bring forth data that shouldve been known a very, very long time ago. the appreciation that people of similar groups and communities have for what it did and to show how theyre truly seen by the government. it wasnt just anger and stubbornness that was taken to do this. it was love. love for people who didnt get it from officials or politicians. love from people who know what its like being alienated and seen as a threat or a joke. love from and to humans who deserved it.
you should care about who maia is, because it is proud of who they are, and that pride was used to create a love for groups who deserved to be seen and treated fairly. and you should care about what is in the no-fly list, because it shows just how many people out there need to be protected from prejudice and bigotry. and you should care that although maia is happy right now, theres always the chance of it being danger for what it did. and you should care about the millions more people out there who are probably on the 2023 no-fly list who might not be old enough to even think for themselves.
you should care about people. you should protect people. you should love people.

A minecraft seed that has something deeply wrong with it.
This seed deserves special mention for having (at least) 13 ancient cities within 1,500 blocks of spawn. This is one of those seeds where they're more common than villages.
Right near spawn it becomes apparent that something is...not right about the mountains
at least, when you are confronted with THIS motherfucker unlimited. Note the level of the clouds.
For the uninitiated, terrain can only generate below y level 256. That flat plateau? Is at y=255.
Mountains are supposed to taper into peaks in Minecraft. This mountain looks like it was just chopped off at the height limit.
This whole seed is full of some truly dramatic mountains. This beautiful mountain range, for instance.
I checked out the seed on Chunkbase and found another area where the altitude seemed unexpectedly high, and traveled out there:
This range of stony mountains is by far the most dramatic terrain I have ever found. Like the mountain near spawn, these mountains also have weird flat plateau-like areas at y=254 or so, as if they were suddenly chopped off at the top.
It's almost like the game tried to create a much, much higher mountain, but was stopped by the height limit for terrain generation.
That's weird enough, but it doesn't really get creepy until you go underground.
This is underneath the mountains near spawn. That sculk growth is an expected thing to find under mountains, where the Deep Dark biome generates...but something's off here.
The Deep Dark biome is supposed to generate below y level 0, waaaaay way deep underground. But this sculk is all the way up at y=106.
That's not only over 100 blocks higher up than it's supposed to be, it's above the normal level of the ground! The surface in low lying areas in Minecraft tends to be around y=65-80!
The same weird thing is happening underneath the stony mountain range. The sculk growth has climbed far above sea level, when it's not supposed to do that.
Weird...
What WON’T happen bc of AI: artists can’t make money anymore because robots are just as good
What WILL happen: animators aren’t forced to work 60+ hour weeks, photographers have better editing tools, and musicians can use ai-generated tracks as placeholders while writing music
I GUARANTEE that once AI art is common enough to be consumed as real art the things made by real humans will still be better because there’s absolutely no reason aside from productivity to substitute the creative process with a machine. And at that point it’ll suck for the same reason marvel movies and imagine dragons do - it’s a commercial product and not a work of art. We’re humans, and art is the most human thing we do. It’s literally impossible to replace that.
I’m also certain that there will be incredibly beautiful and impactful and worthwhile pieces of art that are created using AI, and I don’t think that should devalue it at all. Neural networking is a technology that was created by humans for humans to use. It’s another tool in an artist’s toolkit. And assuming that it’s entirely useless for (or damaging to) artistic pursuits ignores all the work that millions of people have put into creating these technologies and the artistry involved in that process.
That’s cool thanks but I’m really not trying to be controversial. Y’all just sound like complete luddites acting like you can do anything to quell the damage done by an emerging technology just by screaming “computers bad!!” over and over. Like yeah absolutely we should be discussing where training data is sourced from or whatever but some of you are acting like AI will be the end of art as we know it and that just,,, really isn’t the case.
Addressing you directly as one of the few people on this app whose views I have grown to respect, people were saying this exact same thing about AI translators and how since human translations were higher quality and more likely to actually be correct, their business would still be sought out over their free counterparts. And what happened? The exact opposite, because of COURSE everyone went to the cheaper option regardless of the quality of the translation. Human translators have been paid less than half what they used to just to “edit” an ai translation, which is the same or even more work than they usually had to do. Regardless of the quality of the AI, people flocked to the free option to fluff their profit as they always do under capitalism. Do you not understand that as an anti-capitalist? I would expect you of all people to know that even if making paid art obsolete isn’t the end goal of AI “art”, it will inevitably be a massive negative side effect and will take jobs from artists and animators that they NEED in order to survive in this fucked up money-driven state. Obviously animators deserve better working conditions, I would know because I fully intended to be one, but switching to AI will not in any way make that happen. Let’s not forget that despite the valid criticisms of both, Marvel movies and Imagine Dragons are still incredibly popular things that dominate their industry mostly BECAUSE of how easily commodified they are. Having “soul” will never be a selling point any time in the near future, you of all people should understand that.
Ai art on it’s own? Cool concept! Maybe even a useful tool for people who don’t know how to draw, or don’t have the time or energy! AI art in an economic system that prioritizes profit over people or quality? Will actively push artists out of their own industry for the sake of profit. It has happened before and it will happen again.
Okay FINE Harry Potter fan YOU’RE not a transphobe. 😔 You just base your entire personality around a poorly written book series which stole its concepts from others and repurposed them for mass marketability, which is clearly and unapologetically full of racism, transphobia, misogyny, antisemetism, and homophobia, and which has a creator who is the leader of an active hate movement who funnels all funds and attention made off of your favorite book series into the promotion of hate crimes and legal discrimination against trans people.
And you find little to no problem with any of this and are perfectly fine with funneling your money and attention from your platform into that exact creator, and you have little to no problem using your platform to interact with people who are undoubtedly much worse than you personally are.
And you wonder why trans people don’t feel safe around you, and why you get blocked by half the people you interact with on this site.
The defunctland video was great and all but the bit that's sticking with me is when they talked about how they would covertly get children interested in fish a whole year before any finding nemo advertising so the film would be more popular. And he went "that's pretty sinister actually" and she just said "Yeah! :)"
three fun and sexy facts about me: 1.) i have a slight fructose intolerance which manifests itself mostly in me getting violently ill whenever i eat garlic. 2.) i have “delayed phased sleep disorder” aka my body wants to sleep during the day and stay up at night. 3. i am extremely sensitive to sunlight and cannot be in direct sunlight for more than like five minutes without getting burned or overheated.
extra bonus fun and sexy fact: the one and only time i stepped foot in a catholic church, someone spilled hot coffee on me and i got a bad burn on my chest and had to leave before the service started
unrelated: i think i might start taking classes to become a phlebotomist
wait i gotta google something
yeah this is funny
in this terrifying world you continuously have the power to offer someone else a little relief . why would you withhold that. do you remember what a little relief feels like? it feels like a lot
excuse me? are you suggesting i frolic directly into someone's emotional space and assume what brings them relief, potentially causing more stress? are you encouraging people to reach past their own boundaries to help, increasing net suffering if it costs more than the other gains? surely not; that would be advocating for emotional self-harm.
this is a post about the woman who waived my late fee at the bank .
good for you, good for her, the wording on the initial post feels closer to blaming people who don't reach out than celebrating those who do by a large enough margin that i feel the need to hit back
you are a tar pit
I just want to say I have absolutely 0 sympathy whatsoever for anyone complaining about anything homeless people do. oh you saw human shit on the ground?? hmm maybe it's because THEY DONT HAVE A TOILET. oh you saw someone cleaning themselves in a public restroom? maybe because THEY DONT HAVE A FUCKING SHOWER. oh no a homeless person is living in a tent and you think it's ugly?? CRY ABOUT IT IN YOUR FUCKING HOUSE. oh my goodness homeless people sleeping on the ground and they're in your way!!!! yeah THEY DONT HAVE A BED
if seeing homeless people bothers you that much then good news! you have some choices! 1) let them all live with you in your house! 2) start pressuring your local government to stop criminalizing the homeless and start giving them financial and medical assistance! 3) shut the fuck up and die!

you dont have to be a parent to understand the horror of walking into a room to discover that the baby crawled out of his crib and onto that pottery wheel you forgot to turn off, and while the baby is spinning around and around, the dog is sitting there all calm, like a person, gently using his paws to fashion the babys soft cartilage head into something a little more modern. it might be the classic tale of bad parenting, but lets see where the dog is going with this
This post is from 2013. It has less than 100 notes. Together we can revive this work of art that tragically ahead of its time. We’re ready for it now
This is criminal.
Something needs to be done to stop this.
Everyone who rightly stood up for Britney Spears? A rich person taken advantage of because of mental health issues? Now would be a good time to stand up for poor people with mental health issues. Because this will absolutely be abused, abused, abused.
You can tell when someone doesn't really have a strong ethical framework beyond a shallow "Listen To [Oppressed Person]" because they'll hear one person go "Healthcare should be universal" and another go "Racism is great" and they'll be like "Well they're both trans... :/"
I need you people to understand that there is not a single marginalized group that doesn't contain members with heinous, regressive beliefs, and trying to determine who to believe based on the ""validity of their experiences"" is no way to make political and ethical judgments
i don’t go to warrior cats i’ve never been a warrior cats kid and barely know anything about it but holy DAMN some of yall create the most gorgeous art with cats
i like the scrunkly asshole lookin one. the one that looked like it walked out of hot topic.
