Friends reeling from the grief of the Cathedral burning, just a reminder that much of what we call "Middle East"'s history has already been destroyed by fire.
Thanks to bombing and war in Syria, Iraq, and Yemen, sites older than Notre Dame sustain damage every day, and many have been lost forever.
This is a tragedy for France, but can I just say how much I love millennials? Like look at those young people, serenading a 700 year old building. Very proud.
