I started watching x files bc I wanted to experience some fun cool classic sci fi but now I've grown emotionally attached to mulder and scully someone send help

The way Scully reacts to Mulder’s ‘suicide’ in Gesthemane has always been so raw to me because it’s like she’s getting a front row seat to a performance of her worst fear. She knows how dark things can get for Mulder, how much her death would kill him.

She’s always been terrified of his proclivity for self-harming behavior/his lack of regard for his safety — it’s a driving force behind their breakup in the IWTB era, the fact she can’t bear to stand by and watch it happen because it hurts her too.

Having to say the words “Agent Mulder died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head” has to haunt her because while it wasn’t true then, it’s not completely out of the realm of possibility that it could happen, and that’s what kills her.

My favorite thing about being on tumblr is having no idea who Scully and Mulder are. According to tags they are from the X-files, which I always thought was a movie but now am thinking was a show. Not sure what we had a DVD of growing up then. I'm assuming Scully and Mulder are last names, or maybe this takes place in some universe where they have weirder, and cooler first names than us. But whether they are last names or first, I have no idea the genders of Scully and Mulder. From what I've gathered, there are cryptids in this show, and if that's the case, are Scully and Mulder human? I could go on
