Hello

@timidpisces

I am here to just reblog randomness (°∀°)b

Another voice?!? Of course, of course. On the day Mario left him alone in the house. Intruders! Maybe they’d leave him alone after some cannolis?

<...>

“Oh! Hi, Mr. Loogy!”

“J-Junior?!?” Luigi met the child’s beaming smile for only a second, until a scaly fist slammed the door open, sending Junior’s snout straight into the wall.

And now onwards to Arc 2! To start things off with a bang, @rachelordwayart created honestly something I could stare at for hours (which I literally have during editing lmao). The attention to detail is crazy (which I might make separate posts just of particular screenshots). And as always, if you'd like the context, here's chapter 6 of 'Ashes That Made the Trees Bloom'

January-February 2023 Roundup!!

Sorry for the wait! Here’s some personal top picks from the past two months:  I got another Glacier Bay Books bundle that I really enjoyed. Favorites include: Rabbit Game by Miyoshi. A creative and refined psychidellic short manga that really left an impression with the smooth panel sequencing (see caps of it at @mangacapsaicin !) And Children of Mu-Town by Masamura Jūshichi, the story of a group of people trapped in the maelstrom of an insidious political ploy. Really recommend splurging on Glacier Bay’s bundles whenever they put them out! Been a great way to start my collection from them (As of writing you can still get their 2022 international bundle!).

Guyabano Holiday by Panpanya made it out of the delay cycle!!! I really needed a fresh reminder on why I enjoyed An Invitation From a Crab. I have a really hard time picking a favorite story I liked them all so much. But if I had to choose perhaps the titular story about the pursuit of the Guyabano fruit (or Soursop), or the story of an infinite string of sweet potatoes. And to do a tie-in to the ask from the other day: The Ikki serialized comedic train freaks murder mystery story Tsukidate no Satsujin by Yukito Ayatsuji and Noriko Sasaki not being Sasaki’s in to the english language market is so crazy to me… we truly can’t have it all.

Like I’ve shared earlier I’m just not reading as much licensed manga anymore beyond keeping up with what I’m already following. But I’m using this as an opportunity to finally reread the manga I didn’t have the time to revisit previously. One title I recently reread was Olympos by Aki which was a fun because I’d completely forgotten about it. While not impressive or full of depth I got more out of the experience than expected. One to check out if you like manga where the characters mostly just talk or think about existential concepts (will be disappointing if you’re looking for “proper” depictions of greek gods)

steve telling his students (teacher!steve, so true) about his super sweet and caring husband and they all think it's just some average, boring dude. and they find out that the guy who irons mr. harrington's clothes every morning and adopted 3 kittens so the siblings wouldn't be separated, is a rock musician, with tattoos all over his arms and is wearing a shirt that says sum shit like "the devil was an angel too" when he comes in for career day.

alternatively, eddie telling his bandmates about how super cool and tough his husband is & then one day some guy in a baby blue polo and pressed slacks shows up before their show to give eddie a specific pick and a kiss on the cheek and eddies band mates are like..........that's him? that's the guy who bit the head off a bat and hit billy hargrove with his car?

Hahaha I’m a functional adult that can use the phone no problem, yep, definitely *sweats*. In all seriousness, I’ve had a huge problem with doing phone calls most of my life and have made huge progress with it to the point that I can sound almost normal during them. The build up to a call is still pure agony though.

Oops, I never uploaded this one to Tumblr (which I only realized when someone else did, but then was kind enough to tag me, thank you)!

This is the comic that kickstarted my obsession with telling stories with as few panels as I could (usually 10-11 haha), so it’s got a soft spot in my heart.

got asked “why are you open on Easter Sunday?” by a very angry woman at work today…my literal sister in christ it’s because you are also here

Some time ago, you sold your soul to the Devil. He just gave it back and asked you for a favor.

There’s really no good time to open your front door and find a demon standing on your doormat, but five minutes before you’re supposed to leave for work is an especially bad time.

Of course, no-one else would know that the Devil - or a demon who claimed to be the Biblical Satan, I had no way of knowing for sure - was on my doorstep. He’s wearing a discreet grey suit, which is honestly much more suitable than the flashy black number with the cape he was wearing last time we met. Still wearing the same face, thought.

“I was under the impression,” I say slowly, “that my deal was concluded.”

I suppose everyone has what they feel like pressing reasons for selling their souls. The life of a loved one is a common one. I was careful with my bargain - health, wealth and happiness for all of my children for the period of their natural lives. I wasn’t going to blow my entire immortal soul on just one of them, and then see another one get sick.

“It is,” the demon calling himself Lucifer says slowly. “But I have come to offer you a new bargain.”

I raise my eyebrows. “For what? You already have full post-expiry rights to my immortal soul, subject to fulfilment of all conditions of our contract.”

“And I’m willing to return those… post-expiry rights to you, in exchange for… a favour.” He actually looks embarrassed. I didn’t think demons could get flustered.

“A favour.” I look at my watch. “I have to get to work. Will this favour take long?”

“Yes, it will.” He looks around, looking more flustered than ever. “When would be a… good time, then?”

I check my watch again. “If you can get through it in half an hour, I can fit you in at eleven. If it’s going to take longer, you’ll have to wait until after work.”

“I remember you as being more accommodating,” he says dryly.

“I remember that last time we met, I was the one who wanted something.”

“You don’t want your soul back?”

“I don’t know yet. I don’t know what the price is going to be.” I step out, closing the door behind me. “I’ll tell you what. Meet me outside my office at six. I suppose that under the circumstances, I could give you the courtesy of a free consultation.”

There's something I need to tell you.
