a song Brendon wrote when he was 14
summary of the very very little I knew about this song: it appeared around the end of the Fever era. We had no idea whether it was *actually* Brendon… it just sounded SO much like him that we hoped we were right (a lot of fans thought it was by Val Emmich, but that “First Try” was a completely different song). Some people told me semi-recently that Brendon has confirmed this song on some stream within the last decade, so I guess it’s legit! That’s super fun. The most info we had about the song back then was from this random questionable youtube comment that’s still up:
I know there’s only a couple modern likes on that comment so it might appear ignored, but please trust that people were quoting & citing it around the fandom. Anyways, that video I linked to was the original source we got the song from… I still don’t know who that girl was or who sent her the song. Usually things that were shared in sketchy ways were obvs not true/real, but I think I 90% trusted this one because it sounded so much like Brendon. The whole thing is still weird in hindsight though haha.
