BIG NEWS! We basically got approved for our new apartment!!
TLDR; We need help with the deposit, moving fees, and utility transfer fees
For those keeping score, we’re basically escaping our current apartment because of poorly maintained quality of life on the landlord’s part:
Disabled tenants have not had access to the main elevator on a consistent basis for months
Important maintenance requests regarding replacing filters, cleaning locked compartments, and filling a literal hole in our wall have either been ignored by management, marked as completed with no actual work done, or half assed when they do show up.
We can’t keep living like this. We’ve begged them to change our central air filter so many times because we cannot get into it ourselves and the dust was literally choking my wife.
We’ve begged them to unlock the heating unit closet and make sure everything in there is okay since no one has done it since we moved in 3 years ago.
We’ve begged and pleaded with them to move our fridge and repair the hole in the wall behind it that we believe is a roach infestation and they just keep sending out pest control instead of listening to us.
So we decided fuck it! We applied to an apartment willing to work with us and that’s much better about upkeep and they accepted us and we basically just need to be able to pay a larger fee to move in. Issue is, we don’t have the money right now. There’s no overtime at my job right now, my wife’s job doesn’t start until Monday the 7th and just trying to keep our sanity and this hell hole of an apartment cleaned and up-kept to the best of our abilities so we Can continue to live in it has drained every fund we had.

Literally anything helps. We don’t have the egos to deny a single dollar - we’ve tried to just suffer it out but this is the worse my wife’s asthma and skin conditions have ever been despite what we do. Thank you for reading and thank you for your support
