Satan's dungeon

@thnxalotl

Idk either, Good omens/ofmd/what we do in the shadows/Doctor who/Sherlock>>>

he's brainwashed and loving and wants to do good, he's a good boy (gender neutral)

Here's what I think people are forgetting:

How many times in S1 and 2 did Aziraphale have to worry for Crowley's safety? They were both in danger in S2 because Aziraphale made a decision to hide Gabriel, and he KNEW that. He's known for centuries that he puts Crowley in danger because of who he is, intrinsically, and the choices he makes. He HATES that. He just learned that even though they're retired, they're not free and they're not immune to being messed with by either side. He KNOWS eventually someone will come for them and Crowley will likely be the one to get hurt, because he usually is (see the Victorian minisode, which was the direct catalyst for St James Holy Water Breakup).

Metatron offered Aziraphale the one thing he couldn't pass up: the chance for him and Crowley to finally be OFFICIALLY safe. Crowley having to become an angel again was part of the bargain, but so what? In Az's eyes it's worth not having to worry about the thing that's terrified him since he and Crowley met. We can't underestimate how huge that would feel for him, and how excited it might make him.

He screwed up the delivery and forgot to SAY THOSE THINGS, but people saying his regression/ relapse is out of character or cruel are losing sight of the reason he did it.

And another thing. This is the Metatron. ENOCH. The person who told the Watchers they were in deep shit for doing the do with humans. Enoch is well known for believing that angel sexual relationships are off limits. Being kissed by Crowley right when Enoch could walk in would have been terrifying. He could have destroyed them both just for THAT.

Cut my man some slack.

AND

Being in a long-term abusive family situation is not the kind of thing you just shake off in a couple of years.

Abuse is insidious and works its way into your bones and your values and your every single habit and reflex and your deepest fears and you don't even notice it's there, even years later, when you think you've grown and become stronger and you know how to stand on your own two feet, it catches you off guard in the most unexpected places.

Aziraphale has had 6000 years of being told and believing that Heaven is Good and that *he's* the one doing wrong, that *he's* unworthy. You don't just rewrite those scripts in a single act of defying Armageddon.

In 0.5 seconds and without saying a single word, Michael Sheen changed lives.

This was the bitchiest bitch moment Aziraphale had in all 2 seasons. Thank you for your service, respectfully, I am deceased.

Good Omens 2 was like reading a 100k fanfic in the middle of the night that you realize was left unfinished and last updated 5 years ago, and you are left alone with this earth-shattering cliffhanger
