My day was kind of crappy. It was my boss’ last day and there hasn’t been word on who’s taking his place…not even a timeline. I have one direct report who really doesn’t do the basics of their job and it’s really frustrating to field questions all day long about stuff I think she should know. I have no problem teaching someone, but she’s been in her job longer than I’ve been alive and been passed from manager to manager and no one ever really addressed it.
Anyway, I wanted to curl up and read the evening away and I’m really glad my friend texted me and I got my butt outside and into the mountains. We laughed, we talked books, dished on the dudes, ate sandwiches and reveled in the beauty of the place we are lucky enough to live in. It turned my day around. 🥰
