If those judge people are in charge for life, then there's only one way to hold them accountable
one of my most radical(?) genuinely felt beliefs is that people in positions of power should fear for their lives when they make a decision that can reasonably be expected to have death toll. that the second they stop weighing whether someone will kill them for causing the deaths of loved ones, powerful people get orders of magnitude worse.
