moffat who speeches can be cringe or cheesy sometimes (esp 11th doctor ones imo) but st least they're like. earnest and saying Something, which is what let's them be a bit cringe.

but everything the 13th doctor says sounds like you asked chat gpt to write some kind of corporate PR self help drivel. it inherently can't be cringe bc being cringe requires a human being expressing themself and taking the risk that self expression will seem stupid.

biggest dw fandom pet peeve is how many people will look at this character who cycles through dozens of highly earnest and meaningful relationships with equal intensity and go "the writers have gravely mischaracterized dr who by suggesting they would ever love anyone outside of (life altering friendship #29)"

Sorry for being chronically online but theres something so tender about seeing the first online interactions from years ago between mutuals who are now inseparable/besties/dating even. To have such concrete proof of the first time you encountered each other through an innocuous "i love your edits:)" comment on a post... i dont know, i think it's one of the cutest things about the digital hell era we live in
