No offense to anyone but honestly I’m getting a little tired of people complaining about “people ignoring/not appreciating X character or X ship or X plotline” or whatever because.. Just leave people alone? Just because their main focus is on a particular character or ship doesn’t mean they don’t think about or like anything else. It doesn’t mean they don’t care about anything else. And even if they really didn’t care about anything else, guess what? That’s okay!! It’s none of your business. This is ENTERTAINMENT. It’s okay to be hyperfixated on the characters or part of the story you really like. Also sometimes those things that are so “overlooked” are because they were terribly written and just not compelling for some people. Also also idk if it’s just me, but people complaining about this sort of thing tends to put me off of whatever thing they’re actually talking about. Thus being kinda counterproductive. I’m just Tired okay. Let people be Not Interested.
I realize now this sounds an awful lot like things I’ve said before, but in this case it’s less about the people who are acting like “WHy don’t you like the things i like?? It is rude of you to do that!!“ and more about the people who are saying “I’m going to start making a lot of presumptuous statements about fans of X and put words in their mouth that most of them have never said just because I think they like X too much//dont care about Y as much as I want them to//I don’t see them talking about Y often and that clearly equates to not caring about it and I don’t like it when you don’t care about it, even though you’re a stranger and what you enjoy or choose to give your attention in no way hinders my ability to enjoy Y.“
