Science and Witchcraft are not enemies
- A scientist will tell you that our cells are powered by combustion reactions. Combustion is just another word for the reactions involved in Fire.
- A scientist will explain that your blood is the same salinity as the oceans were 3.6 billion years ago, when living creatures first incorporated circulated Water into their basic structure - the precursors of blood.
- A scientist might teach you about the millions of tiny chambers in our lungs called alveolar sacs that inflate and deflate every time we breathe, allowing our blood to mix with Air to feed our cells.
- A scientist could tell you about the many minerals and metals that make up our bodies, from the metal in our bones to the phosphorus in our DNA, constructing our bodies out of Earth.
Our bodies are made of Earth, Air, Fire, Water and Spirit - the Elements of Magick
They’re also made of carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, phosphorous, sulphur, iron, chlorine, potassium, sodium, and a million other elements and compounds - the Elements of Science
The Elements of Science and the Elements of Magick are not mutually exclusive.
Science and Witchcraft are not mutually exclusive.
You can be a scientifically-minded Witch, or a Witchcraft-practicing scientist, or anything in between. Your magick does not have to conflict with your science, and your Elements of Magick can be the same as your Elements of Science.
Illuminate the worlds of science and Witchery with your knowledge and your light. Let yourself shine, a beacon of bright knowledge and wisdom in the night of ignorance and fear.

Science Supports Witchcraft?
So stay with me here. I’m not saying that science has sat down and claimed that they correlate, but I just wanted to talk about the reasons I personally think they go hand in hand. I also want to note that I myself am a witch and very much believe in magick. But, I understand that a lot of people find witchcraft interesting, but can’t come to accept it because they see no scientific evidence.
► Witches claim that life is all connected through the Divine.
☼ Science actually supports this by saying that everything is made of atoms, thus we are all just one big pool of atoms. So all life is indeed connected on the molecular level.
► Witches claim that reincarnation happens. (Not all believe this, but this is a basis of what many believe.)
☼ (I’m not claiming that science supports this specifically, but parts of science can support this theory.) Science says that energy cannot be created nor destroyed, which means that our personal energy does not disappear. So what happens to it?
► Witches claim that energy is the basis of their magick and what they manipulate to make changes in the environment around them.
☼ Science does say that everything has energy so there really isn’t much to say here.
► Witches claim that clear quartz is a cleansing crystal that helps cleanse energies.
☼ Science says that quartz are actually really useful in technology. Why? Because quartz are actually great at transforming energies.
► Witches claim that they can manipulate the energy around them to make changes in the world. Often witches do this by focusing on specific energies and do things to manipulate the energy to make these changes.
☼ Psychology says that people can change what happens around them by simply having a different mindset. This is called self-fulfilling prophecy and means that by predicting that something will happen it is more likely to happen. So when witches do rituals and spells they could be using the self-fulfilling prophecy method.
► Witches use meditation to self calm themselves and talk with their spiritual guides.
☼ Many doctors actually recommend regular meditation as it helps relieve stress, lowers blood pressure, and overall helps keep you happy.
Overall you can decide on your own what you think. However, I hope I helped some of you who are interested in witchcraft but need a bit of scientific support to really believe. Religion is all about what you feel like you need and if you don’t need religion that is okay too!
Yo so....
Witchcraft is actually hella customizable. You can invent shit. I don't know how this: "By the book, uber traditional, heavily controlled" thing gained so much traction, but...
You can make your own holidays
You can make your own Gods
You can design your own divination methods
You can make sigils -however the fuck you want
You can create your own theory on energy systems based on your personal experience
Write your own ethics and codes of conduct
Describe crystals or herbs by their ENERGY instead of a keyword list you got off Pinterest
Cleanse in a completely different way than the books tell you to
Literally the possibilities are unfathomably endless. And I've successfully done all of these. Go forth and get weird with it.
no more of the agonies. have you seen the wonders
psa this post is about mundane wonders!!!!! the everyday!!!!!!!!!!!! your favorite color a soft jacket sunshine rain the taste of your favorite food talking to a friend!!!!!!!!!!!!! you dont have to just wish for them you too can see the wonders if you learn to look!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
