As a chronic people-pleaser, this is my advice for success.
Offer as little as possible. Be terse. Get rid of all those exclamation marks and tidbits about why you want to take a sick day. State your needs clearly and concisely without reason. Start saying “No, I’m unable.” more often. Say Thank You only when the other party deserves it.
Hey folks, my girlfriend doesn't have a tumblr so I'm posting this here. She's dealing with several mental illnesses all working together to make her life hell. She's living off $800 a month and her rent is $700. We need some funds to bridge the gap while we try and get full disability funding for her. I'm doing my best to keep her afloat but I have very limited income myself. If you can afford to please consider giving a bit of money to help stave off the overwhelming stress of being alive.

i gotta say i agree that exposing children to algorithmic content feeds is going to make them grow up with one billion new kinds of mental illnesses and it's a serious societal problem that urgently needs addressing but it makes me v. v. v. uneasy when i see posts going around that identify this issue and come to the conclusion 'this is why it's important for parents to know what their kid is doing online' and uh girls there are a lot of kids out there who would be dead if their parents knew what they were doing online

We really need to drop the 'f' from terf already. I don't think you can be considered any kind of feminist if you believe being born male means you are superior in every conceivable way to someone born female.
