Triangle Agency launched today and i made some Creatures for it. here’s the artistic growth of Growth! when i was first given the anomaly description for this friend i immediately thought of stuffed animals made strange by countless sewn on additions and chia pets, but meat. after some back and forth with the team i came up with the first 3 ideas: one based on how bears get real fat for the winter, one based on shope’s papilloma, the real life virus that creates ‘jackalopes’, and one based on how ribeiroia ondatrae can cause mutations in frogs that can give them extra limbs (also a little flower with facination).
frog Growth was picked as the favorite and that base idea was combined with things the team liked from the other two critters with a little gardening aesthetic to create the fabulous froggy fiend you see at the end! my headcannon is that they have to grow their ‘arm’ to move around and if you rip it out they lay limp like a regular puppet until they can generate enough Meat to grow it back :)
their flower pot friend is named Daisy and i love them very much.

goblin shark goblin Mitsu is here again to secure stray forbidden tomes that wander into terrestrial libraries, and this time she's brought the rest of her team.
Sagami is the frilled shark lady who's head of Protection, physical and mental. some cults do NOT want to give up their tomes and some tomes do NOT want to get got. she's basically here to punch assholes in cloaks so Mitsu can work and create wards against unnaturally occurring madness.
Rea, the greenland shark lady, is the team's advanced translator and sacrificial editor. she's still pretty young at only 152 but she should totally be dead by now, a fact which makes the branch of Sedna's Fingers that raised her pretty smug. she translates books with words as well as books where the concept of words (or books) becomes debatable, and whenever a Rough Draft shows up she makes sure it's like, physically tolerable before letting it come in contact with anyone else.

over on patreon Camille Alexander asked for weird vent mermaids so i blended that with Scyllarus' abyssal merbabes prompt and a touch of M's nudibranch mermaid prompt to create this duo of deep sea gal pals.

she’s a sea nymph named Beacon and she was born from a pearl the lighthouse keeper coughed up one day (one of the local sea god's many illegitimate children). she's good at warding off hypothermia and leading ships to safe harbor so she's made a little bit of a name for herself but mostly she likes to hang out on the shore and do whatever.

mermay is almost over and i just put a bunch of stuff on patreon so it won’t make it here for a few days but i figure there’s no harm in drip feeding some stuff that wasn’t made from prompts.
these are just some standard mermaid designs. i have some seal-like mermaids and i wanted some that are more whale but they ended up part whale and a tiny part sea serpent so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. on land they move like something between a snake and a seal and they can unhinge their jaws if need be. the markings are tattoos that correspond with their pods and parentage, they usually only wear clothes to protect their bellies from sunburn or be polite to humans, and they've got incredibly little sexual dimorphisim.
