The creator of these images is Matt Bernstein, one of my favorite educators online -- he makes incredibly clear, forceful collections of information like this one. He's queer, has fantastic nails, and has done a lot of education recently from his perspective as a Jewish person on why supporting Palestine is so important. Here's a link to this post, which he created for World AIDS Day on 12/1/23.

How to spot signs and symptoms of Breast Cancer
Reblog to literally save a life
whish they told us this in school, all they did was say “feel for lumps, you will know when you feel it”
This is important, even if it doesn’t work with your blog theme REBLOG IT!!!!
Women need to know this, not all of us have ever been told what we need to look out for!
yeah reblogging especially for my transmasc fellows who (like me) might be real uncomfortable with their chests and not know what to watch out for because we try to avoid this kind of thing (just me? okay)
Cis Men need to know it too. They can get breast cancer even though the odds are lower.
Everyone needs to know Breast cancer symptoms
Minding your own business and some fucking scarab just rolls a big ball of shit over you
How do you go on with life after that?
Well I moved on by quitting that job the literal second I could.
TIL the two centers of the brain responsible for depression and anxiety respectively are both slightly bigger than each other, which explains a lot.

Bigger than each other what? Whats bigger than what? Anyine able to parse this and explain it?
They’re just larger in size from one another I don’t know how to simplify it more than that.
I think they’re asking which one is larger, which is… fair.
The one that’s bigger is the larger one.
I wouldn't have to judge them if they didn't spend so much money to look so damned ugly
First thing you see after you zoom in is how you die
How you dying 👀
Rabbits. Well I'm definitely not going to see that one coming
Marriage contracts.
... Well okay.
So one of my tweets kinda blew up. :v
The other part of this that is so enraging is that there is a simple, effective, and even cost-friendly solution to this problem for farmers and ranchers. We've had it for THOUSANDS of years.
It's called Livestock guardian dogs. Seriously. Now, large scale ranchers are gonna need a lot of them, but even then they'd be a manageable expense.
There is an easy, straight-forward solution that has been known for thousands of years and they STILL just want to eradicate vital species instead.
(LGDs aren't completely foolproof for livestock loss but they are damned effective. And there will always be loss of livestock, whether from predation or disease.)
As someone who just left an airport and was surprised that the prices seemed almost "reasonable"
This is extremely accurate.
My mom is a pharmacist and got 16 out of 30. SHE’S SO MAD.
HAH! I got 18. Barely. But I think one I got wrong by accident (like the screen was still loading when I pressed the answer but still, 18 isn’t bad?)
So. The Pillars of Creation are in the Eagle Nebula, which is of course a system you can visit in Mass Effect. But I have seen theories that the Pillars actually no longer exist. We just can't see their destruction yet, because they're 7,000 light years away and the light that would show it to us hasn't reached us yet.
Which now has me doing a lot of thinking about what humanity sees in their night sky on Earth verses the reality that's available with FTL and relays.
Imagine being a quarian who could look at an alien sky and still see a Rannoch that was theirs?
Imagine being someone who had loved ones in the Bahak System, looking through an alien telescope and seeing it still unbroken and whole?
Survivors of a reaper cycle could flee to the other side of the galaxy and look back to a time where reapers didn't exist.
It's gone forever. You can still see it in the sky.
I'm going to go lie down for a while.
If we're counting movies of musicals (thus excluding Disney movies), it was probably like Grease or the Sound of Music.
If we're counting musicals seen live as plays, then I would say it was Wicked BUT, my school took us to a lot of plays as a kid and I don't remember most of them, there could have been a musical in there.
it is so fucking exhausting and annoying how white women, including and maybe even especially in progressive and leftist spaces, continue acting like they are not themselves still beneficiaries of tremendous privilege simply because they endure sexist or misogynistic discrimination. being a woman does not excuse the fact that you are still white and you still reap the benefits of being white! you do not get to "but sexism!" your way out of being held accountable for saying and doing racist shit!
never forget that WHITE WOMEN owned slaves, it was WHITE WOMEN who gatekept the womens' suffrage movement, WHITE WOMEN who not only participated in but also organized segregationist protests to harass and threaten children of color like ruby bridges, WHITE WOMEN who weaponize both their whiteness and their womanhood to threaten the safety and lives of black and brown people, WHITE WOMEN who had their own sect of the KKK, WHITE WOMEN who lied about black and brown men to get them murdered by lynch mobs, WHITE WOMEN who had significant influence in the eugenics movement, WHITE WOMEN who are just as complicit in settler-colonialist violence as white men are, WHITE WOMEN who receive preferential treatment to black and brown people of all genders seeking jobs and housing and education, and WHITE WOMEN who proclaim themselves to be the arbiters of feminism while forever ignoring the struggles of black and brown women and talk about white womanhood as if it is universal.
so forgive me but i am sick and tired of hearing about how WHITE WOMEN have it bad when WHITE WOMEN withhold their allyship until they can be certain that supporting the liberation of oppressed groups will benefit them in some way and are just as guilty of doing this as white men are.
and it's WHITE WOMEN who are going to see this post and ignore it like they always do, that is, if they don't add unnecessary paragraphs of "well, actually" full of logical fallacies and outright misunderstandings of how the fucking world works...
