#anders#lol#unrelated/related#but ive been getting back into the lore#and making myself upset all over again#with how much of these stories absolutely refuse to engage with actual grey morality#and instead flat out say things like 'the apostates are insane and attack anyone on sight so its fine to kill them'#losing my tiny mind just trying to make sure i dont forget any lore before i start up again

I don't really know how to comment on fics directly, so I thought this was the next best thing! I absolutely adore AO. Its genuinely one of the best things I've read. The twists catch me off guard, and the way I yelled when Amell came back! I genuinely had to go to my husband, fill him in on the entire plot and who the hell these characters are, and tell him about Amell coming back. (Hilariously he remembered Anders as "the sad sewer man, right?") The last few chapters you wrote were phenomenal. All of the chapters are, really. There are genuinely no boring chapters in this fic. I've reread it the whole way through probably 6 or 7 times now and it remains one of my favorite pieces of fiction. I genuinely hope you're doing well. Even if you never continue the fic, please know that you have a dedicated fan, and that reading your work is what finally inspired me to start writing again after 10 years of avoiding it. Selfishly, I'd love to read more, but I'd just genuinely like to thank you for writing what's become my favorite thing to read on the rare occasions I have time.

Thank you; this was nice to read. I appreciate feedback through Tumblr or ao3 in equal measure. I am alive, I just go through unpredictable creative cycles and lose the ability to write for years at a time before getting it back in million word bursts. I'm in a weird spot with my personal life but I have been side-eyeing AO intensely this past month.

I have around half of the next chapter written, but considering it's been... two years?? I feel like a recap chapter would be warranted whenever I resume. I am glad you enjoyed and continue to enjoy it. Someday we'll get to Inquisition. Maybe when DA4 comes out.
