every time i ask people if they do any new years resolutions its all ooooo i dont like making them bc i fail or ohhhhh no i couldnt keep up wiht that and then when they ask me and i tell them about Pasta Quest (i am eating as many different pasta shapes as possible in the space of a year) or when i did Fruit Adventures (every time i saw a fruit i had never eaten before id get one and eat it and read the wikipedia article about it) theyre like hang on i forgot you can make Fun Ones i want a fun one
A couple years ago I made the resolution to start using stickers instead of hoarding them. I still have a sticker collection, but it’s brought much joy into my life to be relieved of the burden of finding The Perfect Spot for every sticker.
Both of these are super fucking illegal. Landlords can't lock you out without going through the legal process. Likewise your car can't be repossessed without that same process. Kill corporations.

Oh, I remember this, the edit was done by youtuber Waffle to the left.
They didn't just cut out the parts with the oat milk, they skillfully edited over all the god-damn branding and replaced the audio.
But what I still find most hilarious about this whole commercial is the fact that everything they show in this solar punk world seems to be made with sustainable, zero waste and reusable materials.
Everything EXCEPT THE FUCKING CHOBANI BRANDED STUFF! The only plastic you see in this whole commercial is all the straight to the landfill packaging made by the very corporation that tries to sell how sustainable and "green" they are. Unintentional self satire at its finest.
They couldn't even show their yogurt and milk in (basically infinitely reusable) glass containers because they pretty much only sell their shit in plastic
It is such a perfect example of the true face of "green" capitalism, it's hilarious.

Cheryl Dunye’s directorial debut, The Watermelon Woman, was out of print between 2000 and 2018. Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace was only available to watch on a pirate channel on YouTube until last year. There is still no way to watch the X-Files spinoff, The Lone Gunmen except to own a dvd box set that has been out of print since 2005. Or to pirate it. It’s on YouTube.
Piracy is incredibly important to keep media that’s weird, or out there or just embarrassing to someone in power, alive. We need piracy and we need to stop being snitches when someone pirates stuff.

The other day I saw someone try to argue that Solarpunk should be renamed "Solarcore" because Solarpunk is supposed to represent a utopia, and punk is supposed to be gritty and dystopian, and as I read that statement, my rolled to the back of my head.
Punk isn't about being gritty and everything being black, the notion that it's about an aesthetic is antithetical to punk. Punk is about anti-establishment it's meant to be anti-capitalist. Imagining a utopia free from the chains of capitalism and with all the establishments that force people into a capitalist hellscape that also hurts the environment is very punk even without the explosions and violence.
